This is the BIGGEST meme of them all. So powerful and far-reaching. Thinking that you can just eat like shit and somehow go past the natural muscle-building speed, as a natural, and cut the fat off just as fast as a pro, as a natural. Perpetuated by the public not knowing just how many people juice, this meme hits everywhere.

How many of us have done this dirty bulk and ended up with a dreamer bulk? Sure you do still lift and you do still build muscle, but the fat you gain is in so much excess. How many of us had to painfully go through cutting for FOREVER after that dirty bulk? Very rarely does a dirty bulk work out well--actually basically only when the person starts out as a hungry skelly.

If you're a natural lifter, you should only ever be eating at maintenance or at a slight surplus.

It's only easier because you're a lazy fuck who probably doesn't even know exactly where a slight surplus is for yourself so you just go overboard to make sure you're in a surplus but that results in extra fat gain and longer cuts, which is less efficient. Slight surplus > anything over

It's not for me. I did it once and I hated having a little gut, it felt disgusting, no offense to bearbros but when you're not used to it it's like wearing a fanny pack made of flesh around everywhere.

I'd rather just take my time and put on mass slowly. I have a pretty solid physique, I'm not in any rush.

People are different obviously, have different standarts and expectations. My personal opinion is that you shouldn't overindulge in shit food. no need to be a meticulous autist about nutrition nor training but i would advise against the opposite as well because you will not see a lot of results as a natty. As I said people are different some may eat shit and look good other need to be a bit more conscious about the choices they make.

My rules for dirty bulking as a natty are pretty simple.

Eat as much as i like as long as its good quality food, not pizza and doughnuts, sweet shit, and other nonsense fatties throw down their necks on "dirty bulks".

If i put weight on too quickly I scale it back, its literally not rocket science. Although I have respect for people that treat it like rocket science, it is however a trade-of between effort vs diminishing returns.

Benefits:-
- Being 105kg at 6ft and strong as fuck
- Only having to estimate macros
- Still enjoying food
- Great recovery times and general strength gains
- Look tank as fuck

Cons:-
- Annual 6 week cut before summer

Most people go too ham on the bulk to get a solid 6pack before summer. You're not going to drop a big fucking keg in 6 weeks.

I do a moderate bulk during the fall/winter then start cutting down in like feb-march.

Personally I eat as much good food as it takes to feel full and usually end up with a 500-700 calorie surplus. Sure I gain more fat than I need too but I don't mind at all, it's not like I'm actually fat

It depends on the person, I started working out at 5'8 210 and went to 148 within a year and I've been bulking for 6-7 months now and I weigh 166.

Haven't been counting anything, just eating everything in sight, some days I can tell I ate a bit more and some days a bit less but I workout 6-7 days a week and I'm 19 currently, I think if you are older you need to have a more strict diet and you can gain fat faster but for my personally at this age just not overthinking it and getting the proper protein in has been awesome
