I lifted for around 4 months as a skelly doing a retarded brosplit without eating at a surplus and I built a lot of muscle (from no pullups to 6 / from 5 chinups to 14)

that came from somewhere, pls don't tell me I gained muscle from proteins and lost fat at the same time because that's retarded

after this shit I noticed that my thighs were really, really lean, there was no fat at all, and that's pretty much the first spot bodies store fat.


so I drew the conclusion that the fat from my thighs fueled the muscle growth in the torso

He looks like a skelly that has been bulking for a couple of months, if that. He only incline benches 150 at 6'3 210lbs, and I bench 180lb after doing SS for 3 months on a slight surplus of +300 calories starting from 110lbs.

And apparently his maintenance calories are 5300? I understand he is 6'3 and 210lbs, but I doubt doing a lifting routine and an hour of cardio every now and then would make your TDEE that much.

caloric surplus is the single biggest signaller for muscle growth in the entire body.

without the caloric surplus trying to build muscle is pretty much redundant, not entirely redundant, but mostly -- especially for a natty.

you can't have a caloric surplus and also be pulling most of your calories from fat, as you can probably infer, as fat doesn't cough up calories without a caloric deficit to stimulate it.
