I can't afford a trainer so I watch his videos for form.

Let's talk without ideologies here people.
In my opinion, I think it's an excellent program for gaining strength, but not the best of aesthetics.

the merits of his program are that you come to learn how and when you reach failure as a result of progressive overload and that you learn the fundamental movements of the barbell. these basic concepts must be mastered in order to tackle a serious 'program'.

Any routine can utilize progressive overload and basic barbell movements. You don't need to do the one that has power cleans and no rows.

Also, there are merits in dumbbell movements, bodyweight movements, and direct secondary and ancillary isolation work (arms, abs, calves, forearms) when it comes to training as a novice...

Fitness isn't meant to be so one dimensional

He's great for learning form and the right approach to lifts.
Although his method of teaching the Power Clean seems weird I haven't found a better demo video to follow instead.
I might switch to:
A:
3x5 squats
3x5 ohp
1x5 deads

B:
3x5 squats
3x5 bench
3xf alternating chins/pull ups
