I'm a 6'2", 192 lb 24 year old male. My BMR is ~2000 kcal. Assuming I get a relatively small amount of exercise each day and am fairly sedentary (like most fat people), my TDEE is probably 2500 kcal or so, which means if I eat my BMR I'm on a 500 kcal deficit.

OBVIOUSLY if I get a lot of exercise I should eat more, but most fat fucks aren't exactly running 10k a day, so it's fine.

BMR accounts for around 70% of energy expenditure, exercise for about 10% and thermic effect of food about 20%. Of course all of that varies between people depending on body composition, metabolic and hormonal factors etc. Now, if you eat at your BMR, you're only eating enough for your body to maintain function. I know what you're saying but you're still doing it wrong. You mean it's not 38,000 Calories. You can't tell in speaking, but when people talk about calories of food, the mean the capitalized unit because that one is equal to 1000 calories (not capitalized).

So 1 kCal = 1000 Calories = 1,000,000 calories. And your 38 kCal berries in your original post is 38,000,000 calories or 38,000 Calories (food calories). Which is clearly not right. But you've now corrected it by saying

No, the nutrition label tells the nutrition of a serving which is also listed in either cups, Tbsp, tsp, ounces, grams, etc. Often, the serving size (as it is called) is given in stupid units like volume for bulk items like broccoli.

This is fine and works but leads to many companies creating misleading labels. For example, a yogurt company (don't remember which) a few years ago advertised they reduced the calories in their yogurt. Ads said things like "Now with fewer calories per serving!" Which most people took to mean they did something, but actually they just decreased the serving size.

Things like bottled sugar drinks have multiple servings instead of just one, usually 8 oz and can further mislead people who don't think. The FDA creates guidelines for serving size, but these can always be sidestepped by classifying your food product as another product with a more favorable guideline.

sure. Here you go. Disregard my weight, and focus on the sheet. I tried to include as much detail as possible.

Calories are calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor or whatever other equation you want to use and is chosen and set in the settings tab.

Save plan saves a text file of the food you need to eat to a dropbox folder which can then be opened on mobile to view your planned diet without having to open the computer. It also creates a log on a separate sheet of the totals for that day. So if you have a day that you had glorious macros but can't remember what you ate, find it on that sheet, then refer back to the text file logs to find the foods you ate.

The food data tab is my food database. It takes almost no time to create your own database of food.

I created it because I didn't like how MFP restricted me to tracking only so many things and it was more geared towards reactionary logging instead of planning ahead.

She went over by 100 yesterday so has to do exercise to make up for it. She could be suggesting she makes up for 500 calories instead of 100.

The 800 jumping jacks is to offset the original 100 extra calories. But she also wants to eat a cookie so needs to increase that amount to 1300 jumping jacks. This means the cookie is 62.5 calories.

I use the number on my scale. Every time I fuck up and eat something that I shouldn't, like pizza or a burrito, my weight jumps up a pound or two. That motivates me to be extra-careful for the rest of the day about what I eat. I used to have a cheat day every week, but now I've cut that out entirely, and it hasn't even been hard.

Also (and I don't know if this happens to other people as well), food that's bad for me in large quantities (e.g chocolate, pizza, etc.) tends to feel great while I eat it, but TERRIBLE for hours afterwards. I feel bloated and sick for significantly longer than the rush of pleasure that the fat and sugar gives you.

I've actually taken it a step further and went into ultra starvation mode. Not only do I not eat or drink, but I also purge by inducing vomiting 3x a day when I'd normally take meals. I've actually gained roughly a pound of fat a week despite the fact that I'm mostly vomiting up a mixture of blood, some unknown yellowish sludge, and fragments of what I'm pretty sure used to be my stomach lining. Just goes to show ya that calories in, calories out isn't everything no matter what those dudebros on the internet say
