Funnily enough, I'm actually seeing the doctor tomorrow to get my Low-T results. Everything is where it should be so I'm told to expect it's normal, but I've been doing a lot of reading on this.
I suffer from anxiety/panic attacks. I won't bore you with my sob-story. The standard treatment is shitty drugs, which don't work. I've been "lucky" enough to be on Mirtazipine, which isn't an SSRI, but most anti-anxiety/anti-depressants used nowadays are.
SSRI's increase serotonin (hence the name), but actually cause low-T type symptoms - lack of energy, drive, reduced ability to gain muscle, increase in body fat (especially over the abdomen), so while they are meant to "cure" depression, they often make it worse but try to disguise the fact. Imagine a drug that breaks all your bones but also pumps you full of morphine.
Now it's a big of a chicken and egg situation, as a lot of blokes who are depressed probably suffer from low-T anyway, but the answer is simple -
Testosterone boosts confidence, energy levels, stamina, drive, ambition, all the positive stuff basically. It cures depression, anxiety, lack of sex drive, the fucking lot.
It makes perfect fucking sense - it's the male hormone. Of course it makes you want to live, and pass on your amazing genes.
It also explains why so many men get depression. The "mid-life crisis" is the obvious example, but plummeting test levels is rife in blokes in their 20s. Why do you think the male suicide rate is so high?
So TL;DR - get some TRT, or just cruise on some test. I'm not saying you should go mental and blast all sorts of steroids into yourself, but a dose of test-e or something similar is a wonder drug.
If you don't believe me, look this shit up yourself. This is literally changing lives, and there's a big movement among the medical community to start recognising this, and a drive to stop simply pumping "depressed" guys full of shitty drugs.

There is a lot of interesting research into the effects of hormones on cognitive health. We now know that neurons in the brain can actually make their own testosterone de novo. New evidence is coming out the its not just Test in the brain that affects mood, confidence etc, but also some of the other precursers such as pregnelone. There is an interesting doctor who is balancing peoples neuro hormone profiles after brain injury and having amazing results.
