So...what about dem low carb diets? Anyone here who tried to cut carbs as a whole and tried to gain mass later on?

Any good snack ideas?

yogurt.

Also how is losing weight hard?

One month ago I took a look at a picture of myself and realize that I had become a fat fucking slob.

5'8" 280 lbs.

3000 calorie a day bmr

eat like I normally would for a week, but taking notes. I drink about 500 calories a day, lunch is about 1500 calories, with random snacks.

Look up bmr for 185 lbs, it's 1900,

>stop drinking calories
>start eating fruits, nuts, veggies as snacks
>bring lunch to work instead of eating super calorie dense free food they buy.
>buy 2 25lb dumbells, do some lifting at home (small apartment no room for a barbell)

1 month later I am 265 lbs.

thinking of going to a gym to get real lifts.

When you're not obese it actually takes effort to lose the weight.

This.
I can't manage to lose that last belt of fat even when my diet is clean as fuck and I don't even eat that much.
>>
>>36373432

Thats actually great to hear, respect. I started lifting 5 month ago, but changed my eating habits just about a month ago.
>>
>>36373497
Just eat less and move more.

The problem is if you want to lose 5 lbs you have to eat like your goal is 10 lbs.

It's a classic exponential decay model.

Its so frustrating trying to loose the last 2-3% bodyfat.
>>
>>36373517
You need to actually work towards a weight that is lower than your goal.

I don't have any room for anything other than dumbells, and the set I already have is in the way, I store it under my kitchen table.
>>
>>36373585

I just switched to low carb/keto about two weeks ago, having fun with it. I already worked down to 15% bf, trying to recomp on this diet.

Snacks: search for fat bombs.

Finally an answer regarding the topic. What have been your experiences so far? How much weight did you actually loose? And thanks for the tip.
>>
>>36374432
I dropped am additional 4 pounds or so in the past two weeks, trivially. I struggle to eat my full calorie requirements because the diet is so filling. It takes more time to plan out meals. If you don't plan, the food can get monotonous.

I noticed that I've stalled on my bodyweight workout progressions for the past two sessions, so I'm trying to force myself to a higher calorie count on training days. If that doesn't work, I may try CKD.

Check out the FAQ on the ketogains subreddit, lots of good information.

I find it very hard to lose weight because I have muscle now, and not just fat. Losing weight is easy when you don't have to worry about losing muscle too.
>>
>>36374484
Thanks man, will do!
>>
>>36374502
having muscle makes losing weight easier, not harder.
