First post is corrected. Fiber not only helps keep your GI tract muscles strong but can also be fermented into acetate, butyrate and propinate. These will either be used by microvilli to as energy or be taken up later into CV system. Fiber is super fucking important breh. One of the short falls of the american diet is not a lot of fiber
