I've been a fat guy all my life, I can't remember a time when I didn't have moobs or fat ass/legs/gut, skelly mode would be a dream come true for me if I can achieve it this year. I'll change my goal to becoming more swole once I become skelly.

Yeah I'm lifting 3 times a week since diet + lifting is the best way to lose weight according to sticky.

I meant this thread as a weekly progress for anyone who's trying to lose weight. I started these threads last week so that we can all document our progress and keep eachother motivated, but I've been dieting for a month now.

Any ideas how many weight I would need to lose to get down by that much?

While it looks like things are going in the right direction, i've been plateauing pretty hard the last 30 days (start of weight of Feb 1 was 211.5) I've just been fluctuating between ~208-213.

I've cut 250 calories more on nonlifting days, and added 15 minutes longer to my 3 cardio sessions a week along with adding a 4th session. Hopefully it will resume...

Started about 3 weeks ago at 265. Been swimming for an hour and lifting for 1.5 - 2 hrs 4 times a week. I'm getting through the phase where im too sore to move the next day, so its getting a lot easier to keep it up.

Question though: When cutting, do you include the calories you burned from working out in the total amount you can eat that day? MyFitnessPal automatically adds that shit in there and im not sure if i should ignore it or not.

Routine is 3x5 squats, deadlifts, press, bench and bb row. Also 3x12 situps for abs. Three times a week.
All my lifts except DL have been stalled below 1pl8 for months because deficit.

3x12 situps isnt nearly enough for ab devolepment imo

try doing sets of 20 to 30 instead, and do multiple different ab exercises like crunches, bicycle crunches and planks

It's supposed to be a total change of lifestyle, so that's how I'm treating it. I'm not gonna deny myself some chocolate once in blue moon, but what I do is, I eat less of it and factor that chocolate into my calories and make sure I don't exceed my limit. Things feel great so far, and it feels like it shouldn't be a problem keeping this up.

Steeled my resolve and going for the final push with a 1k deficit before I start my bulk.

not much really, green tea, whole grain bread, thin slices of turkey breast and fruits as snacks.

pic related is my calories intake, I went up a little bit today because I started drinking soy milk because of the estrogen boost. but I'm already done eating for the day. I work nights so right now I'm getting ready to go to bed.
