I've often wondered if this had something to do with it, as although I want to believe the selective breeding idea, as its a good argument for eugenics, it doesn't explain why there are so many gigantically fat black women.
Considering that a lot of African Americans are already taking some kind of drug, usually marijuana, it stands to reason they have no qualms against drug abuse and have contact with dealers of some kind, so are more likely to take steroids.
There are other factors, like the number of African Americans involved in sport, which is saturated with steroid abuse, being a marginalised community so less likely to obey social norms, and the idea that they are sub-normal intelligence leading to pursuit of the one trait no one tells them they are inferior in, their body.
