Had labrum repair surgery in September, turned out to be a "faramin" meaning something that mimicked a labrum tear. But 2 months after the surgery I still have pain right here, therapist said its long head of the biceps tendinitis. It hurts and interupts my healing. I have no insurance, doctor or therapist now because I moved away for school.

I can pinpoint the pain exactly too. Its right here, I do believe its long head of the biceps tendinitis or osis now. No idea what to fucking do, I'm so pathetic

Well to begin, heres a very small test. With that same hand, looks like its your left arm...go grab a pencil/pen and just stand there holding it as your normally would and tell me where it points. Example, lets say you grab the pencil, hold it, and it points towards you, or away from you, or even straight ahead.

How'd you do that

Whichever hand on the arm that is giving you grief.

Let your arm hang at your side naturally, and tell us which way the pencil points.

This?

Thanks for the clarification on that, anon.

What i wanted to check for is if you have internally rotated shoulders. It can happen that a very internally rotated shoulder doesn't allow the bicep to sit in a natural resting place, and actually puts the bicep long head in a bad position.

This could be contributing to your tendonitis if infact you do have tendonitis in the long head of the bicep and your therapist is correct. What else could it be anons?

What else would contribute to tendonitis in the long head of the bicep... Could external rotation be fucked??

Could also be the ulnar nerve. Anon do you ever have shoulder pain/tricep issues/numbness in your fingers?
>>
>>36347526
I think the therapist was right as you can feel where the long head reaches the glenoid fossa. The part that attaches to the glenoid fossa is part of what's really sore. And perhaps the ulnar thing I'm not sure. My external rotation is really good though, that much I know

Some light steroid use, like straight testosterone, might help heal it on its own... idk maybe this is terrible advice Haha

Let's try this stretch and see what kind of discomfort you get. Stick your hand against the wall, with your fingers pointing down just as pictured below. However, do not apply any force into the wall.

Ignore the potentially underage female.

Your arm should be in the same line with the rest of your body/torso, btw. Zero rotation in the hips/head/anywhere

Sorry anon, its tough to help over an image board lol. However, these kinds of abstract issues are teh ones that should be worked through and not the other dumb threads about memes and bullshit routines.

I do feel something with this stretch. Its suppose to be good for carpal tunnel syndrome isn't it?

Anon come backkk!

Im here sorry at work lol

Its a stretch on the long head of the bicep, but the reason to put the fingers facing down also help floss the ulnar nerve. So kinda 2 in one, also helps with thoracic extension.

Do this stretch and i think you'll feel some relief.

How many sets? How many seconds? How many times a day?
>>
>>36349763
I wouldn't really hold this for too long, since I am no doctor. But typically i'd hold for 20-30 seconds each arm, and do that maybe 3 times a day. So when you wake up, mid day, and then before bed. If you feel comfortable, you can apply a little force to really push your hand against a wall but since this is stretching the bicep head, i'd be a little careful and mindful of how it feels. Do that, and if nothing is helped i'd report back after a few weeks with the same thread/picture and hopefully i can help again lol

I will report back I hope you see it.. You've been so helpful

Np. Sad thing is these are the threads that need attention yet no one bothers with em.

These super weird isolated injuries are the most annoying ones too

It has destroyed my morale and everything. It was doing a bit better for a while there but close grip bench press and bench all together made itbstart hurting again. Obviously I quit those lifts last week but the tendon is so swollen I can feel it
