What does British /fit/ think of Quorn?
their chicken style pieces are 10/10
having them tonight actually, low as fuck calories high as hell protons

I dont really rate it, but if you want a low calory spag bol, or chilli then you can use it. My gf if a full blown vegetarian, and so when she cooks a roast dinner she will have quorn pieces instead of chicken etc, so its quite good at filling that niche

we have this in the US too you know

Where?
I can't find it at walmart or Kroger.
Lacks nutrition and tastes of nothing. Unhealthy as fuck.

Wegmans has it on the east coast.
I find their chicken nuggets tasty, sister is a vegetarian so there's always a lot of them when I visit

how do you prepare them senpai? I don't mind eating quorn if it tastes good.

The only nutritional downside is the fairly high sodium content. Mycoprotein is a high quality protein source and there's no real bad stuff in it provided you're just buying the basic chicken bits/mince.
To OP, I ate Quorn a fair amount when I still touched eggs and I'd say it did the job admirably as far as protein's concerned. There's other good meat-free options as well, like Linda McCartney (god-tier sausages) and Sainsbury's Love Soya range (varies in quality but I eat their mince a fair amount) you should check out as well.

why eat quorn sausages over real sausages? I'm losing two pounds of fat per week eating regular meat I don't get the benefit of quorn dietarily.
When healthy food tastes so great, you forget it's healthy
>>36309578
whole foods and places like that will have it
why though? its gross as fuck and unhealthy to boot
>>36309722
if it tastes good somethings wrong
Quorn, like Pasta, is a great test of a cook.
If someone can't make a good Quorn dish they can't cook.
Personally I don't eat a lot of it but it's a fine food to eat regularly or whenever.

As this post illustrates, it's also a good test of idiots.
>>36308466
shit-tier, better off just cooking normal meats yourself
>>36309718
Dunno if I could give you a decent answer other than "they're good if you're vegetarian/vegan" really. I've never done any kind of weight training while eating meat so I don't know how they really hold up against each other as efficient protein sources, although from what I remember Quorn sausages have a pretty great macronutrient distribution compared to something like pork. The sausages are also really nice imo, they have a taste that's pretty different to meat sausages so they're worth trying on their own standards, instead of as a sub-par mimic of meat.

It doesn't have anything good it either. You're basically eating edible plastic. Eat some fucking meat.
