Eat at least an hour or two before sleeping. Mess around with the temperatures of your room find your niche. See if you prefer sleeping naked. Drink water before bed. Those are some tips I've found for myself. Hope I helped

I take melatonin and glycine, both are dirt cheap but definitely help, otherwise I'm terrible at falling asleep quickly, often taking an hour or more

I've never tried it but apparently polyphasic sleep like überman causes you to fall asleep almost instantly even after you stop sleeping polyphasicly

Cell phones and other various devices give off something called blue light. It basically means that if you use your device in bed, and then try to go to sleep, you'll be laying there for an hour or two unable to sleep. I remember I used to use my iPad until 11pm, and then I would lay there and finally fall asleep at 12:30 or 1:00. yeah this is a variation of a technique they recommend in CBT. You focus on completely relaxing each body part, starting with toes, then feet, then calves etc. If you really focus on properly relaxing our muscles (which is actually quite a difficult thing to do) you will be out like a fuckin light

You need to set a schedule and train your body to fall asleep at x time. Know how you go to the gym or exercise at a certain time. how does yoru body feel when you arn't doing that, same with sleeping.

So try to go to sleep at the same time every day. WHen you go to bed, go to bed to sleep. Don't read in bed, Don't watch t.v.. just get in bed, lie still till you fall asleep. When you get up, try to eat something as soon as possible. Doesn't need to be huge, but something.

This guy pretty much has it down pat. This is exactly what you should be doing for a good sleep routine. Minimal lighting, proper nighttime hygiene routine, good timing

Meditation is also what can get me to sleep on nights I'm having trouble. 10 minutes of meditation is better than 10 minutes of lying awake in bed in my opinion
