Stop lifting heavy. Stop squatting. Stop deadlifting. Stop lifting 6 days per week.
This is my advice to all of you who's goal is to simply look good, or "aesthetic.

The cost to benefit ratio of doing these things is simply not worth it for the average natural lifter.

You can achieve the body you want without all of these things.

Why do you lift heavy if you're not a power-lifter? Why do you squat or dead-lift if you're not a power-lifter or a strength athlete? There are MUCH safer alternatives that will provide just as much, if not better resulsts.

Too often I see people injure themselves, I personally know a lot of people who have phucked up their backs and other areas by trying to lift heavy.

Look at the vast majority of power lifters later on in life, you'll notice the vast majority of them , easily 90% , have phucked up bodies from their earlier years. At least it makes sense why they lifted heavy, they did it for their sport. Why would the average person try to emulate them when they don't compete in any power lifting meets?? When their only goal is to gain muscle?

There's thousands of examples here on the misc where people have injured themselves for the rest of their lives because they squatted or dead-lifted heavy, or just lifted heavy in general.

Let me tell you why this is a bad idea. First of all, you're lifting 6 days in a row. Even if you put a rest day after legs, that's still 3 days in a row, which is too much. Most people do well by lifting 1 day on, 1 day off, or at the most, 2 days on, 1 day off.

Furthermore, you're working your shoulder girdle 6 times per week. Your forearms and various other tendons, 6 times per week. Each time with more and more weight as you attempt to progressively overload.
>>
This is why I don't do powerlifting or even attempt to deadlift. Enjoy your fucked up back

You can diddly and not lift heavy my friend.
>>
As far as I can tell there's 2 kinds of guys that lift weights on a regular basis.

1. The guys who can't get any pussy. They can't seal the deal so they think building up massive muscles will attract a woman. They're usually wrong

2. The femboys who got raped my their daddy or beat up in high school. Crippling fear of other men drives these people to build up and armor of sorts against future physical harm

If you grew up and actually had sex with a woman, and weren't afraid of a fistfight, you do not feel the need to beef up. You still workout, but only for the exercise and to feel healthier.

This is all true. You don't need to do those things if your goal is just to look good. However, I enjoy lifting heavy shit and getting stronger.

Ultimately it depends on your goals.
>>
>>36213457
I actually agree and I'm not even trolling like OP.

Sure it feels nice to DL 5 plates but that's all. You get much more benefit from training the basic gymbro crap.

Only compound lift I do are Bench and OHP and I look buffer than most DL, Squat guys in my gym. No one really cares for legs unless you look ridiculously small legged.

Can't argue with this logic.

What's wrong with light weight squats and deadlifts? They feel good desu, because I'm able to get the form exactly right and they aren't too taxing. Those kind of compound lifts hit everything that a machine or other bullshit wouldnt

nigga what? Not everyone trains like a retard.
>deadlifting
not everybody does the meme lift

dear /fit/, femanon here (ok you stopped reading. keep reading.)

5'2, 113 lbs, tan, athletic, HOT, etcetc (you probably don't believe i'm a 9)...i squat 135 for 12 deep, play volleyball and swim

advice for you /fit/ guys....being muscular won't get you any more women then being skinny (dun dun dunnn)

i've fucked 19 guys (i'm 20) and 2 were ripped athletes, the others were skinny boy types and mostly average

honestly, when deciding to fuck them...muscles weren't a consideration. at all.

keep that in mind. they were just suave.

I've seen what getting jizzed on by a group of people does to a man, it is not pretty. I wasn't a part of it but when I was 12 or 13 I went to a sleep away summer camp and this is like when we were starting to discover porn and jacking off. Some kid brought some playboys and naked playing cards, shit like that with him. Anyway, one kid in our cabin was a huge tool, stole stuff like food and money from other people in our cabin. So half a dozen kids decided one night to wake up in the middle of the night at like 3 a.m and take turns jacking off in the bathroom, running out before they finished and blowing their load on the kid when he was sleeping. Literally 6-8 kids did this, all over his face, sheets, upper body, and hands, one kid also did it in his shoes. So everyone else wakes up the next morning and we all knew what had happened but this kid couldn't figure out why he was all sticky for like 15 minutes until a counselor forced it out of a kid. When the kid found out he went absolutely nuts, like certifiably crazy mental breakdown. He had to leave the camp for psychiatric treatment, worst part was after he took a shower and went to leave he stepped in the jizz shoes and also like 6 of my friends I never saw again because they got kicked out.

I've done PL since I started working out and have fast outpaced my friends that did "bodybuilding style" lifting from splits to timed rests to pump sets etc. At 2.5 years I'm the biggest and strongest in both my uni and my commercial gym.

PL is not a meme and probably the best way for a natty to put on muscle

Lmao you're uninformed. All the baby boomer lifters are aging like wine. Look at all the champions.
>>
I just like deadlifting cause they work large muscles/lots of muscle groups which in turn burns more calories

op is a lying backstabbing jew who does not want you to make it

Some very old pasta in this thread....

Anyone who has spent any time around women will know that the vast majority prefer ripped guys to skellys and fat-asses. That doesn't meant you need to look like Ronnie Coleman, but it means you should actually give a fuck about your horrible, shapeless body.

It's cute how hard you're trying to convince yourself your last 2 years of aspergers and picking heavy things up and put them back down were somehow useful
fucking kissless virgins

If you don't lift heavy how do you even know if you are making progress.

I know if my 3x5 sets get stuck at a certain weight I need to eat more. This helps me build muscle as well.
>>
>>36213457
Fuck off you giant faggot. I might never get to the point of lifting heavy enough to compete, but it's fucking fun.
>>
>>36213457
>implying I do any of those things anyway

im 300 lbs btw
>>
>>36213588
WHAT??
And what has that got to do with what OP said???
>>
As a PL Watch top 100 powerlifter for my weight class, I generally have to agree with OP. Ignore all the shills saying shit about "powerlifters not being aesthetic" and what not, because 80% of that is diet and if you've seen a raw powerlifter in the past 10 years or so and stop watching 90s geared powerlifters on youtube, you'd see that powerlifters as a whole are getting more in tune with not being fat pieces of shit as the sport leans more towards raw lifting.

That being said, there really is no reason to squat or deadlift heavy, or at all, if aesthetics are your goal. Leg presses can get you the same quad stimulus, as can lunges and pullthroughs and all sorts of machine or free weight exercises without a barbell. My coach has a few people he trains who aren't athletes or powerlifters (just people with big wallets that want "aesthetics") and he never has them do any basic barbell exercises (occasionally he has them squat with a safety bar, but that's it). Its literally absurd to think you need to squat and deadlift heavy to build a physique. If it works for you and you can do them safely, then more power to you, but somewhere out there, there's an aesthetic looking motherfucker that the greeks would have put in statue form 1000 times over who's never put a barbell on his back in his entire life.

I kind of agree tbqh, squats and DLs are fun but I never really intend to go further than 2pl8 on my squat or 3pl8 on DL. Seems pointless. Those are already huge numbers as far as generic strength is concerned and give you a very good base if you want to practice functional exercises or intense BW routines afterwards.

I got injured deadlifting heavy once, now I daedlift but not heavy, it really makes a diffrence in my posture
