For those of who are cutting on here how many calories are you cutting at? I am moderately active and I think those calorie calculators are still telling me to eat to many calories.

I'm eating at a deficit of 500. Saw another caloric scale that says its good if you're trying to shave a pound a week with proper diet.
The last time I told the truth about that on here people got worried about me.
>>36170603
How tall are you and what is your total calorie count including the 500 deficit?
>>36170605
Let me guess you are below 1,000 calories?
>>36170617
5'11, and to maintain weight is 3450 or so so with the deficit is 2950
>>36170589
I'm cutting at about 1000 calorie deficit daily, my TDEE is around 3000 so I can still eat relatively normally. I have lost 2 lbs a week consistently for 4 months.
I cut anywhere from 1500 to 2000 to 2500.
I don't have set autistic caloric goals being autistically dogmatic. So long as the calories I am hitting are under my maintenance I am okay. Some-days I'll have a larger deficit, some days Ill have a tiny deficit or bet at near maintenance.
IMHO this is the best way to cut, considering I need about 2800-3000 to gain weight.
>>36170632
Dam I can't believe I didn't lose this weight, I would of thought daily I would of been below 2950 and I am 6 foot. I had to been eating a lot more to not lose any weight over a long period of time. Kind of blows my mind a bit
>>36170649
Might try that out, Instead of having one exact limit I change it up depending on how active I thought I was that day.
So if I am 6 foot and have a job where I am walking around doing stuff all day and when I get home I bike anywhere from a half hour to a hour every day will I lose weight If I eat anything under 2500 calories? I would say that is moderately active at least
>>36170670
You should be careful, it is really easy to overeat since exercise typically makes you hungry for more calories than you actually burned.
>>36170687
Depends on how many calories your burning through the day. You have to look at the entire day, even when resting, not just when you're active. I have a fitbit, for the most part its whatever but it does a good job at monitoring how many calories you burn through the day depending on heart rate and movement. Might want to invest in one if you want a better estimate to see if you'd actually lose weight, maintain, or even gain depending on your current routine and eating habits.
>>36170700
I guess my rule of thumb is to just exercise a couple hours before bed and just not eat after that, I just make sure I eat before exercising.
>>36170714
What model do you have of it? see they have a couple different types.
>>36170715
That sounds like a good plan, part of cutting successfully is avoiding having to use willpower to not overeat.
Fat asses. I'm 6'5 220 lbs cutting at 1900 calories a day
>>36170700
I found the opposite. After cardio I make healthier choices. Also I can't really eat during cardio, and its hard enough to get my calories within the day without spending 1hr doing cardio.
I'm cutting at 2,800kcal right now.. 5'8" manlet 153lb
>>36170794
Well that advice is more for people who aren't normally active and fairly unfit. Back during my porker days I would spend 30 an hour in the gym and then treat myself to a 1000+ calorie gorgefest. Since I was mostly sedentary any amount of exercise would be enough to hugely stimulate my appetite.
1850cals/daily cut
almost done, just want this last bit of ab fat to go away
>>36170714
Do you have to change settings to tell it you are walking up stairs and stuff or does it somehow figure that all out on its own?
>>36170875
Whats your height?
>>36170885
im losing 1-2lbs a week so it's working
>>36170896
wasn't giving you shit just generally curious, just trying to get a consensus on what everyone is cutting at and there height
>>36170906
5'7
I train a lot but I also do computer work so im considered "sedentary" in terms of a tdee calculator
>>36170589
If you're looking for a "minimum", just find your basal metabolic rate at your target body mass index and don't go below that.
>>36170589
No idea what calories or macros I'm getting, just eating a pound of chicken and a pound of salad everyday and a proton shake for breakfast and post workout.
One thing I do know is that the fat is melting off of me, losing just less than a pound a day on average, down from 301 to 272 in a month.
>>36170632
Dude how massive are you that you need 3000+kcal? I'm 5'11" 175 and target 1500kcal on my cuts and make 1 lb/wk if I actually hit that
>>36170589
2000 TDEE if i do nothing, 2500 calories if i do physical labor at work.
trying to do 500-1000 calories a day deficit but i end up doing well one or two days then pigging out the following day and eating away my previous day's deficit... yet somehow i'm still losing weight.
I dont track just cook your own meals and lightenup/ time your carbs better.
4'10"
140lbs
eating <800cals a day
at the very least, 20 mins of cardio
I don't care if I lose muscle, I just want to stop being a fat ass.
Has anyone tried any diet pills to stop hunger cravings?
>>36171096
Diet pills are just caffeine, usually. Black coffee is cheaper.
>>36171117
Does it curb hunger at all? Or is the bitter taste supposed to steer you away from foods?
>>36171124
It curbs hunger a lot, and of course can energize you. Caffeine is an appetite suppressant. Just make sure you're drinking enough water throughout the day, and avoid caffeine within 6 hours of bed. Poor sleep will make your weight loss impossible. Good luck, anon.

i work out 4 times a week. cardio/lifting. cutting atm at about 2 lbs per week. 1500-1800 clean calories is all i eat.
>>36170632
>deficit is 2950
The fuck?
>>36170589
You're supposed to put lightly active.
>>36170880
It tracks steps and stairs separately. But tracking calorie function is primarily based on heart rate with a base level based on calculated bmr. At least that's with my Charge HR.
