Hey guys I'm overweight as you can tell I'm trying to lose weight like in my gut area what's some good tips or routines I can do to lose my belly I'm not trying to get buff just drop some weight and get to a manageable size and weight. Hmm, I'd say GOMAD is your best bet.

If that doesn't work, then I'd suggest only shopping on the perimeter of the grocery store, where you will find all your veggies, fruits, and meats. Eat fresh vegetables and meat. Your fat ass doesn't really need carbs, so easy on the rice and cut out bread.

Drink water.

...How did you get to that point...? Eat less around 1500 and focus on getting out of morbid obesity level. If you manage to lose weight and you got light enough to move around then bump up your calorie to like 2000 and exercise 45 mins 4~5 times a week, I know you said you don't want mass but lift anyways to regain your muscle because you need muscle to have higher metabolism so you can eat more and stay lean. If you don't and just give up then you're going to die pretty soon

I can move just fine and I'm always on my feet. For 8 hours a day im security at a hotel so I'm constantly walking I'll throw in some push ups and different work outside in there as for the food I usually only drink water cause that's all I can afford atm. Thanks for making me feel better about my 5'9" 265. Count every single calorie for a week, then go 500 under your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) the next week. Plenty of lean protein like grilled chicken breast, vegetables like steamed broccoli, and don't even worry about exercising for that first week. Just eat that calorie number. Then the next week, read the sticky and do some light cardio.

I don't expect to ever see you on this website again. Can you prove me wrong? I don't fucking think you can.

Stop drinking carbs, OP.

The only thing you should be drinking is water, and water mixed with protein powder.

Take your weight loss step by step, that means don't go full fish and veggies on day 1.
Start by not drinking any more carbs. This is the easiest way to start your weightloss, after a week you choose something else to stop eating, like sugar, or chips. After a couple of months you will have formed habits and won't go crazy from not having any bad food for 2 weeks and be right back where you started.

Routine: lift and cardio
Diet: track EVERYTHING you eat or drink besides water for two weeks. Then start eating less than that while still tracking it.
Do both of these for a year or two, check in with use every couple of months with updates. Make sure to tell your friends and family what you're doing so someone can keep you accountable.

this, I told my mom that I was going to lose weight for a weight loss competition at work and she sent me home with a cup of valentines goodies and 2 big pieces of cake. Into the trash they went but any time i go over there they're going to shove cake and beer in my face and be offended when I say I would rather lose weight.

Swimming, if you can overcome your half naked in public shame. I go really early in the morning when the pool first opens at 5:30 and there are only old and fat people there. I do 4 sets of 400 meters swimming as hard as I can, focusing on power. So far I lost 5 lbs in the last week and that was without watching what I ate, I'm adding a calorie deficit now to see if I can push it further.

Incorporate lifting weights with this. I.e SS for 3 months then move on to an intermediate routine.

Op, or any obese person out there who may read this, although this is true for anyone trying to accomplish anything -

The MOST important thing to do, whatever you do, is TO DO IT. Just stick with it. Discipline, not motivation, is what leads to perseverance.

You know how to loose weight. Everyone does, it's just some try to make themselves feels better about it by rationalizing shit away. But everyone knows. Eat less, exercise more. Find out you total energy expenditure. Measure out food with calories less than that for each day. Exercise a bit each day. Get enough protein and fat each day. Drink enough water.

And do this EVERY DAY. It takes years, if not a lifetime. But take it a step at a time, a day at a time. Don't put everything on your shoulders at once and freak yourself out and lie to yourself and say it's impossible. Just take it a step at a time. One meal at a time. One exercise at a time.

You don't have to do it perfectly, but you HAVE TO DO IT.

The reason you ask yourself what to do is you are trying to convince yourself you actually want to change your life. Because it's a lot of hard work and giving up mean you are a failure. Not trying means you are an even bigger failure. And being a failure is so damn easy.

You have to actually want to change. You have to want to put in the work. Self investment is the best kind. The only thing standing in the way of your success is you.
