About 30% of my calories come from fruits and vegetables. So roughly 1 kcal a day. The rest is grains, milk, meat, and whatever else I feel like earing that day.

Not raw vegetables but I also eat 1 grapefruit, 1 apple 1 banana and about 1/2 a head of broccoli, cooked.

Yeah, I was asking cuz this is my main hangup about increasing my vag intake (OP here). I'm currently eating a lot of carrots/celery/nanners, also buy a ton of kale and cabbage which are cheap as dirt. I cook those though of course, dem dere goitrogens.

But yeah, veges are just crunchy mounds of micronutes and fiber/sunlight-filtered water, so I try to eat a buttload of them. Definitely helps to stick with the cheaper options. And I think they can act as a buffer for the acid-forming qualities of heavy foods like meat.

Anyway I'm trying to eat more vag-etarian, so I've already increased the cooked kale intake & what not, my next step is encroaching upon the raw foods frontier.

Just gotta cook it with some oil, onions, and vinegar. The vinegar is the key there, adds a bit of a sour kick to it that balances out the earthiness and bitterness.

And yes kale for all intents & purposes is the same as broccoli. Broccoli, kale, collard greens, cabbage, all crucifers and have extremely similar micronutrient breakdowns.

That said, we can thrive without meat thanks to supplementation; so meat clearly isn't a necessity anymore.

15-20 different veggies a day - can't really be bothered going into quantities and types of each but it's adequate

2-3 fruits a day just because it's worth mentioning

An entire container of kale every couple days

My carb macro is usually 50-60% carbs.

Step 1: Ignore the retards here to fear-monger about the evil carbs

Step 2: Find any amount of veggie types you like that are available all year round

Step 3: Find any amount of veggie types you like that are seasonal

Step 4: Throw in all the veggies from step 2 and 3 every day, per whatever you can afford

Step 5: Add something like quinoa, low-carb noodles (like Fiber Gourmet or even Miracle Noodles)

Step 6: Throw some spices (I like chili powder)

And you're done. It's weird being asked for recipes - I eat just about everything raw. I suppose you could throw in some tomato veggie brother or something and cook them. Find whatever veggies I can -> cut them up -> add something healthy for texture pretty much sums up my thought process when I go about it.

I keep everything simple.

As for fruits, best way to start incorporating them is by starting off with ones that don't take any effort to prepare. Dates can be eaten straight out of a refrigerated packet. Banana just takes a simple peel.

When you look to integrate more into your diet, frozen berries are a great next step. GL.
