Depends, I only started doing deadlifts about a year ago, despite lifting for three years prior to that, and my squat still outpaces my deadlift by about 20-40 pounds depending on what I'm doing.

why the fuck would you be proud of this. Lifting heavy on your first day of lifting is a pointless risk, and a missed opportunity to work out proper form with lighter weights. Taking time with appropriate weights shows more confidence and discipline than rushing into weights that are too heavy to lift in a controlled way.

Trying to lift big first time means that you're either an idiot with shit form, or that you caved in to peer pressure and machismo.Or that you were reasonably strong to begin with and now you feel like talking yourself up on the internet, i guess
