Could have several reasons all have to do with brain damage (seriously).
For example, a damaged Amygdala makes you immune to fear basically. That's also why psychopaths commit a lot of really stupid crimes. tons, here's a view of the entrance from under the water. water is super clear if you don't silt it up
top layer is cooler freshwater, then there is the halocline where it mixes with warmer salt water that flows through the rock from the ocean. when you go through the layer it gets blurry for a second and the feeling is like when you pee in a pool because it gets warmer when you're in the salt water. it's a funky feeling for sure

here's a surface view of the pit, this drops straight down to 120+ feet of water that's really clear. you can see divers surfacing
this is the one where there is a cave entrance at depth that is pretty technical diving, most people just go to the bottom and then slowly surface going through halocline and also a sulfur layer which looks like fog. spooky af senpai
