For real though, abusing alcohol regularly will of course fuck your body, discipline and training regime completely, but a party once, let's say three-four weeks ain't gonna do shit.
From personal experience, when I am training for strength, so I'm doing a powerlifting routine with heavy squats and deads twice a week, every four weeks or so, I'm hitting a wall - can't lift that fucking weight. And this is, say, Thursday's training session. I simply do lower weight-higher reps quick and fun workout and the next day I go drinking, eating junk food and so on. Saturday I cure hangover (I'm Polish so we drink quite a bit) and on Sunday I hit a swimming pool for jaccuzzi or some shit like that. The Monday's training session is always great, and I can always easily outlift the prescribed progress.
