I PRed a 65kg power clean. Attempted 68kg but failed cuz didn't catch it deep enough, I could probably do a couple more kilo before it before it became full clean. I haven't really been doing the full lifts or maxing out on them because I'm newly training under a coach and he's treating me like a beginner for the most part.

I front squatted 65kg for 4 reps the other day too, and I hav gotten 70kg for 5 on back squat. Looking to get to 100kg (ideally for reps) by the end of winter. Trying to eat more, sucks that I only ate 2700 calories today.

The collars weigh more than micro plates and you load big to small in comp. Makes loading small jumps easier

What weightlifting exercises are the most useful for beginners?

I am not a coach. From my experience, I would recommend the basic exercises: Squats, Pulls, and Presses with correct technique. When you see how people train, they have incorrect technique that doesn’t translate into Snatch, Clean, and Jerk. Weightlifting beginners (crossfitters in particular) should not start the classic lifts straight away because their muscles and joints are not ready.
