To answer your question, no. Most people should have no problem doing OHP. The real snappening would be press-behind-neck, while is not a bad exercise you should be careful going heavy.

This is true and is exactly why they removed it from the olympics and they don't even do it in powerlifting. Bending backwards essentially allows you to use your chest more and thus you can lift heavier however you are putting your spine at great risk.

and there aren't any good shoulder exercises aside from the press and dumbell raises, unless you want to do the retarded half rep bodybuilding dumbell press shit but that exercise is way more harmful to your shoulders than doing an ohp

just forget about OHP, they cause problems for people with weird acromions. Just do one arm DB presses, focusing on time under tension. Much safer, very effective, although you cant really brag about your weights to "hardcore" people like with OHP.

OHP is one of the hardest lifts to get right in terms of correct form and progression. Even if you have the form down, injuries like "weight lifters shoulder", rotator cuff issues, supraspinatus tendinitis etc are going to be almost unavoidable over the longer term. that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it, just be aware that its easy to overdo it, or do it wrongly, and you won't realise until its too late.

They removed Clean and Press because it was impossible to check for the proper form, thus people cheated by turning it into a Clean, Lean and Incline Press, therefore whoever had a better strech could press higher weights. Spine had nothing to do with it and it's impossible to snap your spine by OHP unless you're really retarded, which you are.

The layback wasn't actually the problem (it had been a constant since the first few Olympics and they'd always given up on dealing with it after each attempt at changing the rules). The issue was people figuring out the first straightening up bit of the lift could be used to disguise knee bend and get away with a push press, combined with nobody being able to agree on just what to do about the judging inconsistencies.
