Already had all my protein for today so finishing off with a desert,1 banana with 2 tbsp peanut butter topped with some stevia.
Can any nutrionists help me out here? Im 19 yo 5'9 145 lbs trying to rebound a broken metabolism and wondering if 1300 cals is a safe area to work with if i wanna lose weight and build muscle. Some websites say 2,000 calories but im pretty sedentary to be honest

starvation mode isn't a thing, f.am. Your metabolism is fine, your lifts are shooting up because you have more energy from not as steep of a defecit.

Keep doing what you're doing. If you feel like you need more food to function/lift well, eat more. If you start getting fat, eat less.

I wish I could find frozen pomegranates ;_; They're my absolute favourites and I can only get fresh and high quality ones for one month out of the year tops.

For snacks I typically eat fruits and have a protein shake within meals, and then a few tablespoons of peanut butter to make sure I get enough fat.

I bought sliced salted pork on a whim, had no idea what it was. Pan fried it, because hey it's meat and you can't screw it up.

It stunk up the whole kitchen and almost tripped the fire alarm.

I made some brown rice on the side, and ended up eating just that because the pork was basically 95% fat and a large serving of salt. I don't think you're supposed to eat it by itself.

2k Cals is a meme. I ate 3-3.5k for a year, completely sedentary and without lifting, and didn't seem to gain a pound.

I would disagree with >>35723610 though. With enough protein, a multi, and lifting, you can make gainz while burning fat. There are some key aspects to it -- you should still have some carbs with protein because of amino acid optimization, and coffee / caffeine can supposedly initiate fat burning (http://authoritynutrition.com/top-13-evidence-based-health-benefits-of-coffee/).

The consesus is .75-1 g protein / lb. weight (studies supporting the lower end of that almost exclusively).

Not half as full as potatoes would make me feel.

I regularly eat 500g potatoes + some meat as a side just to feel full. I've never eaten so many potatoes in my life on a regular basis.

Potatoes and quark as a side are GOAT tier for feeling full.

Yeah fastfood is the fucking enemy on a cut. Flatmate had some flaky pastry shit lying around, had like 5 of them while talking to them in the kitchen, looked up the calorie content afterwards, in for 400kcals.

Ate a decent portion of Scrambled eggs with tomato and onion

1 small onion
1 small tomato
4 eggs
half cup of milk
salt and pepper
1 tsp of butter to saute onions in.

melt butter in the pan, put onions in for about 5-10 minutes, until they start to get that gold-ish color. Then add tomato diced into the pan, and stir that for about 5 minutes so you don't burn anything and it cooks through properly.

Add in your milk+eggs+salt and pepper mix, and continuously stir it until it gets to the fluffy, full texture and consistency.

top with salt and pepper to taste.

Followed it with an apple sliced up and a banana.

Still hungry, but I haven't eaten anything else all day. That, and I'm at 103kg and ate nothing but shitty food for the last 2 years, I need to be a TAD strict with myself now.
