I've had a pinched nerve in my neck for about 3 weeks. It runs down through my shoulder into my arm where I feel pain close around my elbow area. It then runs down into my hand leaving my index finger and thumb tingling and numb-like.
I tried rolling my back out with a lacrosse a ball to un-pinch the nerve but it just made things worse.
Have you guys had a similar situation? Do you have any solutions?

I don't know but I have a pinched nerve in lower back/pelvis that hurts my right ball when I move a certain way.
I have a pinched nerve right under the pointy part on my left shoulder I've had it for like 2 years :( I foam roll and use a racketvall but it's still here
Same issue for several years now, seen chiros, gotten MRI opted out to getting epidural no relief in sight heat and stretching give some relief. Also traveled to LA and tried to get a jimmy bluff massage but he had no spots open
Had a pinched nerve back in November, went to the chiropractor, (because I like to, don't care about how much you hate them) it was all better in less than two weeks.

You should remove whatever strange creature that has attached it's sucker to the base of your neck.

Had any weakness in the arm too?
>>35709967
Not OP but I've had weakness in the arm from what feels like a nerve in my shoulder, I thought it was from carrying my bag (1 strap) with my my junk in it all day every day. Two days without that and my arm feels fine...

Anon
I have the same thing as you except it doesn't run down through my shoulder
however it does run fown from my elbow to my index finger and pinky finger and it tingles
You have a trapped nerve
It really depressed me because I couldn't even do curls anymore I thought I had tendinitis
The solution is ulnar nerve flossing. You need to floss the nerve and free it up a little
Here are several exercises which have helped for me:

Sounds like you've impinged multiple roots in your brachial plexus, how you did that is beyond me because that shit is kind of rare (unless you were in a car accident).
Go see a doctor.

Stop lifting until it's gone. Fix Your posture so you don't get it again. I used to get a few per year in my neck but haven't had one since I started lifting/fixing kyphosis

pull the nerve one way, then the other
carefully
wiggle dat shit
Try yoga.

I think the distribution is T8 so it might just be one root

Index finger and thumb imply both C7 and C8, while the sensation loss in the arm looks like T1.
