Why not medium weight for medium distances?

i thought the whole point of farmer's walk was that it has to be heavy
I just do an all dumbell day every so often to get that grip going.

I prefer to do them heavy, but some people prefer lighter. Bear in mind light and heavy are relative, a heavy run for me would be anywhere from 110-130kg (per hand) for 15-20m

My PR is about 120 for ~20 feet. I warm up going for time ~1 minute and train for sets of 30 seconds as heavy as possible. My new gym has an axle and using it in my lifts has added like 20 pounds to my walks

>120 for ~20 feet
kg? That's decent, 20 feet isn't far though
And yeah, I love axle work. First time I pulled 5pl8 without chalk on an axle I was hype as fuck

Pounds in each hand. Yeah it's not far but it's the best I can do with my gym set up. Holy fuck 5 pl8 axle is insane man. I was bretty happy when I mixed 3pl8

desu I'm basically built for farmers, I'm more mobile than I am strong and I have a good grip. When I did my 130kg for 15m run the hardest bit was the pickup, after that I was motoring the whole way. I had DOMS everywhere the day after though, was insane
