Post, suggest and discuss recovery protocols etc.

I am more concerned in looking for a supplement or w/e that will speed up CNS recovery.

>Be on a caloric deficit to get cut up for dat dere spring break bod
>Do boxing/cardio in the AM Monday-Friday
>Lift 3x a week during Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday

Would Ice baths help? Hell, I am thinking of investing in;

Ice baths are counter productive for strength training purposes, and might not be great for endurance athletes either.

The best things you can do for recovery are, eat well, sleep very well and light daily cardio.
Unless you want to go /fraud/.

>ice baths counterproductive to athletes

Are you fucking stupid?
Every Russian Olympic athlete icebathes regularly

A study by Australian researchers, publishing in the British Journal of Sports Medicine on a small sample size, suggested that ice bath therapy may "do more harm than good."[14][20][49] The team asked 40 volunteers to undergo leg exercises and gave half ice baths and the other half a dip in tepid water. Researchers measured pain levels, swelling, performance in a "hopping test" and blood chemicals which might indicate damage to muscles, and found no statistically important differences between the two groups, except that the ice therapy treated volunteers experienced more muscular pain in the leg upon standing from seated position compared to the control group (median change on a 0–100 mm visual analog pain scale of 8.0 vs 2.0 mm, respectively, p = 0.009).[14][19][20][50] The study found that:

Ice-water immersion offers no benefit for pain, swelling, isometric strength and function, and in fact may make more athletes sore the next day.

How about adjusting your lifting days within M-F? So you have the entire weekend to recover?

Church could be a place of meditation and peace you edgy fucks! Plus most of Churches (Catholic, not shit-tier ones) have a soup kitchen around. One could volunteer and meet qt 3.14s

P:osting in this thread because it's relevant

About a week ago I was working out, started with OHP and got a pain in my neck after the second set. So since I was almost done I figured I might as well do the last set, and I did, and I continued my workout because none of the other exercises were neck/shoulder related.

Seven days later and I can't turn my neck in either direction 45 degrees without it hurting on the left side. There's a numb persistent pain in my left shoulder, and when I walk if I let it hang at rest it hurts, I have to keep it tensed up. There has been improvement overall, but it fluctuates from day to day.

Any fixes? Pls /fit/ I just wanna workout.

Exhaust yourself

>no blue light 2 hours before bedtime (I use f.lux for my laptop to view porn)
>get blackout curtains
>try to limit ALL light sources in your room
>no water 3 hours before bedtime
>get a white noise going on (I have one of those febreeze air filter things)

Erm... thats all I got
>>
>>35485717
Shiet bro, try rolling that part of your neck.

My guess is your traps are tight. Do you pinch your back when you OHP?
>>
>>35485687
Do your own research.

It's not going to help recovery any more than placeobo test boosters for a stupid kid.

>>35485686
No blue light before sleeping.
Learning how to relax.
Stay active during the day.
Relax your body and try to trick yourself into being exhausted.
Warm drinks like tea or coffee.
Herbal supplements, gotu kola, lemon balm, passionflower and blue lotus tea makes me feel really cozy on a night where I can't just seem to get to sleep. Only works for me when used every now and then.
Kava Kava is pretty great too, but it's an intoxicant.

I personally enjoy white noise and lots of pillows as well.
>>
>>35485806
Small note or your comment. Passion flower can give breathing problems while sleeping if you take too much.

What? Still a great way to network with people who might have qt friends.

Just dont be a pussy about it.

Are you a plebe? If so, then I understand, seeing that you are less fortunate. Probably did not have a great education.

No idea. On one OHP rep the left side of the bar was lagging behind a bit, so I had to make a particular effort to push it up. It's possible that had something to do with it.

I personally find it relaxing, and decaf is an option as well. It feels more warming than tea, to me, and caffeine doesn't have a notable impact on my ability to sleep.

True. I'm not very religious, but I go once a week to church. It's like a brain sauna. You got one hour where you can think about anything you want without any distraction. The homily sometimes are quite informative if the priest is not a 70 year old nut. Topics like alcoholism in families, the devil who works through things like thinking about your pal's qt etc.
Church gave me faith, but but not stereotypical superjesus things, I've regain faith in myself.
Church is awesome, I recomend at least 2 sets of one hour of church a month for some mental gains.
Pic kinda related.
