I dunno. I asked this exact question on /fit/ ages ago and the general consensus was that it really doesn't matter if your doing pull ups or chin ups. They both do a comparable job.
You could probably alternate between them if your really indecisive about picking one
Pretty sure there's studies that have linked better beard growth with baldness. I'm sure you can also have a shit beard and baldness though

I do both on pull days. Both are great exercises, probably among the best things you can do with your body.
