In the Far East, there is a tree called the Chinese bamboo tree.
This tree has to be watered everyday and fertilized.
It's a very hard nut and it takes watering and fertilizing everyday for 5 years before it breaks trought the ground.
At any time, if the water, nurturing and fertilization process is stopped, the Chinese bamboo tree will die in the ground.
Now, once it breaks through in it's 5th year then in 6 weeks it grows 90 feet tall.
Now the question is: does it grow 90 feet in 5 years or in 6 weeks?
The answer, offcourse, is that it took 5 years to grow it, to build that foundation, to nurture it, to water it, to learn the system, to figure it out, to learn how to grow.
That's why you must have patience and engage in consistent action.
It's simple, but not easy and most important above all: it's worth it.
So don't forget the Chinese bamboo tree, who tought us that change doesn't come overnight, its consistent progress.

these threads are cringe as fuck. you really shouldn't have to imagine yourselves as unsung, badass knight-champion-heroes in order to get yourself up and do a few reps of squats and deadlifts. the reality is that lifting isn't the single toughest endeavour on the planet.

This is where it gets ugly.
>gets kicked out by bat shit crazy mom for the vacuum breaking
>too stubborn to go to father
>live in car for a month and just shower when dad not home
>"sleep over" at friend's houses for another month. Just staying from house to house
>finally cave in and ask mom to come back
>let's me stay for a week until dad gets room ready (dad's house not even finished wtf)
>move in with dad
>left leg gets bitten by spider 3 times while i slept
I was a heavy sleeper bc working job, going to school, and running 6 miles a day along with weight lifting.
>woke up to leg in extreme pain and irritation
>bit enough money to see doctor
>bf turns out to not care
>mom doesn't care, thinks I'm over reacting
>dad too drunk to understand
>can't run

>finally go to emergency room after the days of fever
>nerve damage
>fml not able to work out like i used to
>physical therapy for 6 months
>had to get 2nd job jusy to pay for it all
>gaining more and more weight bc young and stupid and not cutting calorie intake
>gets really fat and depressed

>is disgusting hambeast
>wanna die
>mother almost dies from benign tumors
>take care of miserable woman
>cussed out and belittled everyday
>gets better and kicks me out again

>start cutting calories
>working out again to get mobility back
>start losing weight slowly over the next 3 years
>continue to get better
>tfw leg 90% mobile due to determination and hard work
>now 26 and lost 50 lbs since being 23

Life is good, mayn. Without fitness my life is dark. Go to the gym!
