Anyone else /migrane/ here?
Every 3 months or so, I get intense crippling migranes that last 1~2 days.
They're treatable with over the counter ibuprofen and paracetamol (that's British English for acetaminophen, murrka).
I think they're triggered by general flu/cold illness or by stress.
Anyone else get these?

I tale rizotriptan (Maxalt MLT), but have had far less migraines sense i tried neurofeedback (google it). The process didn't seem like it was doing anything, but i went from getting them once a month to two to three times a year.
Stress will definitely do it. Beer and wine will do it for me. Also, make sure you don't skip meals.

I get migraines from time to time, I've been prescribed sumatriptan which is presumably similar to rizotriptan. Sumatriptan works really well for me, so long as I take it before the migraine goes full blown. Usually I can tell when a migraine is coming on, if I don't take the pill in time I will then have to take the pill and lie down in the dark for 30 mins, then it goes away.
I think for me it's related to disrupted sleep, if I go to bed too late or get up too late/early I tend to get a migraine.

Prolonged exposure to stress has made my migraines more frequent. I've gone from once every 6 months or so down to every 3 months.

I don't have any migraines very often. But I do suffer from cluster headaches. One thing that has significantly helped me is taking 10,000 IU's of Vitamin D every day. It might take a few weeks to help. Just thought I'd post it in case it helps someone.
