Hey bros, hoping to get a motivational/humour thread to get me out of a slump. Girlfriend dumped me after almost 3 years and I feel like shit. Joined the Military back in March to build us a better futurue, and like a tard I was going to propose to her this year, but while I was gone she decided to leave for some 42 year old dude who's almost twice her age so she could replace her dead Father.
Now I'm half way accross the Country from my friends and family, and feeling like a sack of shit.

When i got dumped i hit the gym more often and managed to gain almost 6kg in 6 months
also set new personal bests in every excercise
Now if you are away from home and a good gym then ofc its diffrent but nothing motivates me to work the pain away than being rejected and thanks to women i have a lifetime supply of that

these are different stress responses to these kinds of events, basically you had some, I'd say weak version of post-traumatic stress growth - basically you'd say, "i'm already uncomfortable, so if i'm going to do this uncomfortable thingy, it won't change much but maybe might make me feel better" while he says "i'm uncomfortable, better get back to my safe depression place and get comfy", it all has to do with coping
