I regret losing motivation the year after college when I was 21. One full year with no lifting. 24 now and I've only had two years of consistent lifting. Not sure I can even count the year I did in high school and several months stretches in college anymore since I lost all those gains in one year.

just about 2 years ago i started lifting heavy compounds and actually made any gains.

Don't know how useful a high school's standards are, but mine didn't allow anyone under 16 to take the weight lifting course. I took it at 17, but my lifts didn't go very far.

It's supposed to dry up your skin. Acne (non bacterial kind) is caused by built up oil and sweat.

From 15-18 years old, I think you should just be exercising. Swimming, running, and moderate lifting is good, or do a sport. It's a lot harder to get into a team oriented sport when you're older.

I personally started lifting @ 20 and I have 0 regrets. I made gains pretty quickly since I was already disciplined, motivated, and fairly healthy.

For reals OP. Got interested in weight lifting in 10th grade but wasn't very serious and only used machines. 11tu grade played football and they made us use free weights. My first max outs ever were 180lb bench, 210lb squat, 170lb clean, and 140lb incline. Felt super weak cause a lot of freshmen were out lifting me.
