I get what she's saying to a degree. It's shitty to go into a surgery only to come out to find out you're inoperable cause you're a tank. I had a surgery last year and was told that might have been the case. Instead they need help from three other surgeons to help do a laparoscopy (these are apparently stupid easy to do) on me. Keep in mind this was after a month of me not eating at all because of my gallbladder.
Thankfully, that whole ordeal started with me losing weight and me being too scared to go through a pain like that again (A gallstone blocked my pancreas, it's really fucking painful).
