5'11 330 king of fatlets here, 385x1 dl, 315x2 squat 295x1 bench and 205x1 ohp.
Considering using clen for weightloss.

When it comes down to dieting, I always struggle and end up stopping counting calories. I tried to do it counting portions and that worked for a while but I stopped too. I am going to start counting portions again.

I workout 4x a week at least so I'm active, it all comes down to diet.. I'm always afraid i won't eat enough to maintain my muscle mass

SARMs work, specifically, LGD-4033 works well, there's some stronger shit that's had research done on it too, but not available on the grey market.

LGD on it's own didn't prevent much fat gain, but lifts go up, volume way up, gains faster, etc.

Depends where you live re the money thing, here in Ausland, LGD is good value vs roids, as roids are much more expensive. In the U.S. it may be more expensive than a simple test cycle.

So I am somewhat seriously considering giving sterioids a shot. Have been in not horrible but not fantastic shape in the past (like 115kg 5x3 squat/deadlift at 80kg) and coming of a hiatus now after having acquired a homegym, currently i'm at 77~kg, like 16% bodyfat according to self measured calipers and like 90kg squat/DL 5x3. 27 years old.

Obviously I am far away from my 'genetic' potential (which I assume will take like 1.5 or more years to reach) but on the other hand feel like if I am going to do this, the age to do it is now. Doing steroids before reaching max potential seems to have 3 main drawbacks,

One comes down to knowing your body and understanding fitness and nutrition well. The second has to do with a higher bodyfat% leading to a higher probability of worse side effects. And the third has to do with the body generally not being able to keep up with the muscle strength gains and you risk damages to joints bones etc.

Though you can always know more I think I am doing ok in the fitness/nutrition knowledge and experience department, and should be able to get my bodyfat down to an acceptable level. So the main concern would be gaining too much strength for the rest of the body to keep up.

I have to travel in early June, so say I time it so my cycle ends then, which would mean starting it in mid march. Will I be able to reach an acceptable fitness level before this, assuming during my cycle I listen to my body and don't push too hard if I notice any danger signs, or am I shooting myself in the foot and asking for permanent injuries by doing this?

No current body picture and can't take right now. Height is 1.83cm. And my diet is very clean and what I am least worried about. Make 95% what I eat myself, and pretty much never have a cheat meal/snacks, generally don't drink (pretty much only drink water and shakes).

Obviously I am still very weak and could make big gains over the year or so going natural, but it seems like the main reason for waiting for me outside of 'proving your worth' before you enter the world of steroids is to avoid avoid joint/bone injuries etc which is something that seems like it should be manageable?

Part of the reason why I am interested in this is just not the physical boost, sex drive has also been very low for like over a year (even given proper nutrition/working out) which has made most of life seem pretty fucking boring.

Meant to say my deadlift/squat was at 115kg when I was at 80kg. Which is still not impressive but oh well.

Now I am much more confident, my professional life is going great, I am in better (though by no means great) shape and am attending college so there is a lot of attractive girls around (a few even openly showing interest.) Just get your daily protein adjusted for lean body mass and eat as little as you can. You should have enough fat to last you a while. You can even do a shit ton of cardio on days you don't lift.

Gear is going to be tricky since test gets converted to estrogen by fat. You'll also get loose skin most likely.

It really depends on how fast you want to lose weight. Gear or not your still going to eventually have to cut. Otherwise go hang out on plg and stay natty.

From my understanding regardless of what happens after the first cycle (e.g it becomes a lifestyle/more cycles, or stops at just the one) it's likely not going to have a major impact on long term consequences whether I do my first cycle in 2 months, or a year from now. So logically from my perspective it would seem like if I am ever going to do it, the trade-off of faster progress, and assuming it is an overall positive influence in my life, the benefit of starting sooner, outweigh the potential negatives.

So does it mainly just boil down to the fact that if I am not closer to the best shape I can be, I probably don't know for sure whether this is right or not for me?

Say if you (assuming you are an experienced user/in great shape) by slipping into a coma or some other magic got sent back to similar physical condition/(age?) as mine. Would you still go natural for 1 year before starting again?

cottage cheese.

I don't count anything desu. I just estimate eveything.

I cook almost everyday and when i need to prep i just make some more food when i'am cooking. Mostly make a shit ton of food at once. My gf also cooks for me, to make it a bit easier.

You can also make everything on sunday and freeze it.

Brick's advice is really the only real answer. Yeah you can hop on gear and get better results but it'll still be shitty compared to someone that eats right and lifts with intensity. There's no way to get bigger or stronger without pushing your body's limits.

If you are not X size/strength then you don't know anything and that is why you need to wait with gear, not because being X size/strength is in itself inherently that important.

Also just to be clear I am not trying to argue that I am knowledgeable or that I would not massively benefit for another year of natural training. Just that I'm still not convinced that the year of natural training would benefit me more than the year of steroids and training, if I use steroids after the 1 year is over anyway.

If you take two people with absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of training fitness or nutrition, and they start learning about it and training at the same time, one starts off with gear and one goes without until he reaches his genetic potential. Assuming they are equally knowledgeable about gear when they start that, won't the person who started gear right away improve at a much faster rate, and reach whatever goal he has set much faster? Won't they just encounter things like mobility issues and muscle imbalances and the million other little things at different times and deal with them then?

I can see how the more rapid increase in weight gives you more risk of injury if for example you don't have proper form and your ignorance makes you not spend the time needed to learn proper form. But don't completely buy the idea that you need to have gone through the trial of fire of reaching your genetic potential before you are able to use steroids and have the benefits outweigh the negatives.

I started when I was 18, after researching gear for 2 years and lifting on and off, mostly on, for ~7 years. I'm 22 now. Practically everyone in my family practises medicine in some form so I had a strong general knowledge base. But I wasn't ready for it emotionally, physically, spiritually or mentally, as much as I was convinced I was, and it's heavily influenced my life in many ways. What you're saying is technically true - the advice given in the form of training/age cutoffs is arbitrary and often elitist, but there is great value in creating something you're proud of before going onto gear. The benefits are innumerable in fact, and go beyond just maximising your results and bang for your buck with the gear.

I'm generally not one to regret things, but with AAS there is so much I would have liked to have done differently. Also, nobody likes to admit to their fuckups. The risks are indeed 'small', but the consequences can be great, and there are so many traps you can fall into. It's your body and it's up to you, but if you are truly serious about this lifestyle, and would like to enjoy it for the rest of your life - my simple and admittedly arbitrary advice is to set a goal you can be seriously proud of, accomplish that naturally, and then take it from there, and I guarantee your life and training career will benefit greatly from that choice
