Did you do the math before saying these numbers? Kcal/d depends on your own body, 3000 is not a standard.

Maybe with 2600, the surplus is enough for him to bulk and gain strength (knowing he's asian so probably a desk worker + a manlet). At some point, the surplus won't be of any help. You'll just get fatter.

I think he just can't workout/diet properly, also the beta asian genes don't help.

I broke the fuck out of some bones as a child and it screwed my shit all to fuck to the point where doing pushups would cause my shoulders to pop in and out of socket. Then I trashed a knee as a teenager, and have fucked up discs now. Still I train. Still I make a little progress. I've went from having my shoulders be weak little bitches from my crippled snap city childhood injury to being able to hold one arm handstands, handstand pushups, bodyweight OHP, all kinds of goodies.

Just fucking lift. You will be better than the previous you, even if only a little.
