Is it worth it?
>>
nope, it's a piece of shit. I got it as a christmas gift and didn't even use it a week. Use your phone for a pedometer. The rest of what it claims is horse shit. Do not go.
>>
>>35595785
decided they are complete bullshit after my friend's gf showed me a report claiming she'd burned 2700 calories that day while working at a supermarket for 6 hours then going home and sitting on the couch

I bought my gf one, and it's fucking shit. It's a stupid toy for women who want to "tone" for summer.

Against the crowed here. I love mine. I'm very conscious of long stretches of inactivity, being lazy for a day now. I'd say that if you weren't committed before, don't bother. But if you are, may as well add another tool to the tool belt. Plus knowing how much sleep I got from the heart rate tracker mine has is nice.
>>
>>35595934
Maybe in 10 years when they actually make them count your stats correctly they'll be worth it
>>
I LOVE mine. It's super accurate and the sleep counter is on point as well.
Its great at estimating calories burned and miles walked and steps taken.

>affix fitbit on my dog, let it run around.
>straight killing the field in competitions, friend list grows.
>local girls ask me what CrossFit gym i go to, kek.
>tell them to join me for a real work out.

I've been looking into them for a while and I can tell you 2 things about them so far:

>Non heart rate ones are completely useless if you want to track cals and activity properly.
>Theyr'e not really waterproof but they're working on it.

You moron, it's just a tracking device so corporate America can complete it's invasion of your privacy. It does nothing useful. Throw it away.

I don't know what you all are using it for but it's great for cardio. It tracks your heart rate and tells you if you're heart is beating too fast, it also tells you the distance and steps you take when running. Personally I only use this for when I'm running and doing cardio, not every day stuff because that doesn't matter to me. Yeah the calorie burner is fucked up, I don't even understand it. You all should use myfitpal or chronometer for that.
>>
have one on my wrist right now i bought it for heart rate monitor and sleep monitor it really helps me keep track of my sleep on rest days so i like it
>>
I have a (non-heartrate) one, how do I make the best use of it?
>>
>>35596054
I tried to do this with my cat but the fucker slept all day.

use the calorie feature and log your workout to give a rough estimation on how many calories you expend and consume. I assume you have the flex. Use myfitnesspal to log food and connect it to the fitbit app so you can see macros on myfitnesspal.
>>
Get the Charge HR.
Unless there's a heart rate monitor, it's useless.
The monitor is bang on accurate (within 3 bpm compared to a chest strap monitor), and tracking sleep and cardio is very useful. The interface is super simple as well.
They come on sake sometimes. Wait it out and you can find them for $25-$50 off regular price.
>>
>>35596947
they're too expensive for what they do
a $40 bluetooth heartrate monitor would cover the same functions, only it wouldn't be a cool trendy meme watch you can show off to all your cool trendy goy friends who love marketing memes
>>
>>35595785

I have the Charge HR. It's great for getting you thinking about things like:

>am I getting enough sleep
>do I drink enough water
>am I getting up and walking enough during the day

I don't get the people who say it overestimates calories burned. I dialed myself in and it's tracked fairly accurately for me. I'm male, 6'0", was around 210 lbs when I got my Fitbit, now I weight 177lbs.

I'm actually thinking about getting the new Blaze just because it looks more like a watch and is less of a trendy gadget, but I already have a Fitbit so it's a bit of a waste.
