How do you train quick reflexes and "twitch gaming" (the original term and not the streaming site)?
I suck at vidya since I have shit reflexes due to not having proper access to games when I was younger, it feels pretty bad to be outplayed by my scrawnier dyel friends. Despite their almost lack of muscles in their wrists and forearms their fingers are quick af and mine just look like big dumb sausages in comparison.
Any /fit/ gamers can give me advice?

I was smfc soloqueue and dropping 35-40 frags every game back when I played all day. Literally just drop your sensitivity 1.7-2/400dpi and learn proper crosshair placement. I was the definition of a braindead aimer. My reaction time is 175ms, was 265 before I did 10 clicks on humanbenchmark reaction test every morning and evening (seriously raised it by doing 10 clicks a day lol)
Also having good aim won't make you a good player, even though I was easily the best aimer in every game I was in, I'd get smashed in ESEA or by players who were a good team, even if I could walk out onto a site and 1 tap someone, cause I'd just get traded instantly etc.

How do you get 400dpi? I understand the 1.7-2 is in-game mouse sensitivity, but isn't dpi set on the mouse? I don't have a pro gaymer mouse, just cheap $10 chink mouse with 1000dpi.
Also I thought higher dpi was better since you don't need to move over a large area to reach where you want, 400dpi sounds slow af desu

High dpi is bad in cs. Counterstrike is hardly about twitch reaction shot and is more about positioning and getting pixel perfect shots from really far away. Low sensitivity = good.
Pros usually play on 400-800 dpi with a sensitivity 1-2.2

Twitch reflexes are about anticipation and prediction. As you play a game for hundreds to thousands of hours your autonomous nervous system kicks in giving you more brainpower to dedicate towards thinking about what your opponent might be doing rather than.concentrating on yourself and what you're doing.
You can see it everywhere: boxing, driving, playing an instrument, gaming ect. Reflexes aren't a general transferable skill that can be improved overall, but instead are a consequence of practicing a thing.
