Even the expensive clinical-grade methods aren't perfect.
This is stuff like:
-Bod Pod
-Dexxa Scan
-Ultrasound Skin Thickness test
Fat calipers are insanely innacurate since most people can't do it properly. Legit there are "fat caliper technicians" who train to do this accurately.
Electrical impedance tests = bullshit (these are the ones which you stand on/hold on to and it measures your BF % by sending a small electrical current through your body)
Legit, just submit a photo on a forum like bb.com (4chan will just tear you apart lol) and ask for experienced users to estimate visually. Like I think I've gotten to the point where I can estimate within +/- 1% error margin.
PS: Just to show how BS some of these methods are, I did a bod pod test at a university kinesiology laboratory before my competition. It sais I was 2.1% BF which is impossible as I'd almost be dead lol.
When I asked the technician doing my test, he said that unless you cut the subject open, it's impossible to get an accurate BF % estimate.

By bodybuilding standards, 15% IS catastrophically fat. Also keep in mind it depends how good/bad the lighting is.
FWIW; yesterday, there was some report on German TV. It was about some shitty exercise gimmick, and they went to some doctors in Munich for the before/after comparison. And those doctors used the same formula Scooby uses (Chest, abs, thighs).
And let me tell you, in bad lighting, yes, 15% looks fat as fuck. One of the guys had a 15% bf before and looked like shit. In bad lighting, even 12% looks kinda chubby, because that was his "after" value.
