Testosterone was commercially available starting in 1939. It didn't catch on though until 1945 when the book the Male Hormone was published. This was the point when bodybuilding physiques changed dramatically overnight. Steve Reeves won the Mr. America title in 1947. His physique is very much in line with the dramatically altered bodybuilding physique of that period. Can you show me a comparable physique before 1939? I very strongly doubt it.
