You can eat almost anything. The only problems are the days every month after the dentist does the maintenance. Most of the stuff you can´t eat was already crap that you shouldn´t be eating anyway like popcorn.
The first few months you might still have some difficulty to eat stuff due to pain or just how odd it feels, but the basic rice, chicken, beans, vegetables, fruits, etc. are no problem. Only after a few months using it I felt that I could eat anything like before.

Well, you will always have a steel wire though. That way your teeth will always be straight while some will slowly have their teeth going towards the center and overlap. So it's not all bad, son. My uncle have it and his teeth are looking good. He even precedes the age of fluoride. My cousin got wire too now. Looks good nobody sees the wire just their straight and functional teeth.

Got braces when I was 27. Yeah it's a little awkward for a year or so but holy shit is it worth it.
Getting braces as an adult has the added benefit of straightening your teeth after you've stopped growing so they'll stay straight forever.

I finished my treatment ~3 years ago senpai. Tbh eating is only a problem when you put in a new tray, after which your teeth are sore as fuck for a couple of days after that it's all fine.
Granted it can be a pain to have to take them off every time you eat something but it's worth it imo.
Should be just fine having them on while you suck dick though.
