I had a bad stomach virus that put me in the hospital for 5 days. I couldn't eat or drink anything without bringing it back up. They fed me through a tube . I lost 14kg in 5 days and I still looked like I lifted.

Had gallstones, extraction via ERCP failed, caused pankreatitis. Shit's fucked up, I can tell you that. There isn't really any treatment other than to wait it out. Didn't eat or drink anything (even water causes severe pain) for 4 days, at night they pumped me full of ketonal just so I could sleep for 4-5 hours. Been in the hospital for 14 days total (1 failed ERCP + pankreatitis + successful ERCP), lost 9kg. No lifting for 2-3 months. Say goodbye to your strength gains. The IV drip is there just to keep you alive, so 2 weeks in the hospital will set you back 6 months of training.
