How many hours a day do you spend at the gym /fit/ ?

about 75 - 90 minutes on anything but leg day,
leg day usually takes me about an hour.

1 and a half mostly.

An hour. Half an hour if I'm just there for cardio.

Keep in mind that if I warmed up properly I would be there for 90 minutes, but I don't
>>
75-105 minutes usually.

I shower at home so the 75 minute routine is warmup and legs and core. 105 are upper body, warmup, waiting for the barbell for 10 minutes or something then the routine.
>>
>>35498352
why
>>
>>35498237
45 minutes to an hour. Maybe a little more if I'm doing cardio.

How in the world are some people spending multiple hours at the gym? Are you just fucking around after every set/rep. Because I normally take a 30 second - 1 minute break between each set/rep.
>>
>>35499534
You're not lifting heavy then
>>
About 2 hours.
>>
About 75-90 minutes, 5x a week.
>>
>>35499534
they have probably lifted longer than you and therefore need more volume to actually grow? come on now its not that hard to figure out.
also 30 sec rest is retarded, but you probably only do machines right?

I actually do lift pretty heavy, though.

>>35499606
Only time I use machines is for shoulder exercises because I have a busted right shoulder. Other than that, strictly free weights. How is a 30 second to 1 minute rest time retarded? If I'm not tired, I move on to the next set/rep. I guess it seems retarded because I'm not on my phone taking pictures or updating my facebook status every time I put down a weight.
>>
>>35499715
You might think you're lifting pretty heavy, but your attitude says otherwise. If you're lifting 80-90% of your max, you'd be out of it after each rep. 30s just isn't enough time if you're pushing yourself.
What are your stats? What, are you at 1/2/3/4?
>>
a 5 set deadlift or squat session with proper warmup takes at least 30 minutes, how the fuck do you finish in 45 minutes?
>>
>>35499738
Forgive the retarded question, but I'm new to /fit/ (but not to the gym). What's 1/2/3/4 mean?
>>
3-4 hours including 2 hours in the sauna + half of the time I'm just bullshitting with people there

It's pretty relaxing

Deadlift/Clean&Press/Squat/Bench
>>
>>35499738
5/4/3/1.5 here
>>
>>35499785

numbers of 20kg plates on each side for OHP/BENCH/SQUAT/DEADLIFT or "the big four"

so 1/2/3/4 is:
60kg OHP
100kg bench
140kg squat
180kg deadlift

its a good benchmark for roughly when you become "strong".
>>
>>35499861
Flat BB bench - 285 for 4 reps, I've maxed at 305 once, though.
Squat - 295 for 6 reps, 315 for 2-3 reps (parallel or below)
Deadlift - 345 for 4 reps

I don't Clean and Press though.

I know my lifts aren't huge, but they're a lot more than what they were 8 months ago when I first started.

It may also have to do with the fact that I tend to work up to my max weights with each set. For example, I can max out at 285 flat bench. But my first rep will be 200, then my next will be 245, then the next will be 265, and my 4th and final rep will be the 285.

I do that for almost every set, except shoulder shrugs, weighted pull ups, reverse ez bar curls, and skull crushers where I do my max for every rep.

Also, when I max out, I tend to take a minute to switch sets, not 30 seconds.
>>
Homegym, but usually 50 minutes effectively, sometimes a little more, on leg days less.

id like to see a video of your bench and your squat form please
>>
>>35499883
Just saw your post, I don't OHP very much because I use machines for my shoulders. Like I said in my other post, my shoulders are pretty fucked because I had to have surgery on my right shoulder 2 years ago. I'm paranoid about overdoing it with my shoulders because that'd put me out of commission for a few months and I'd lose all my gains.

I'm >>35499919, by the way.
>>
>>35499951
That's probably why you take hours to finish your gym regiment, anon. You're too busy recording things and taking pics for facebook. I literally said in my second post that I don't waste time taking pics and videos. I don't even see how those stats are even hard to believe since they're nothing to even write home about. I could see if I said I was benching 350 each rep and squatting 400lbs.

im not saying youre estatting, in saying that there is something seriously wrong with your legs. Unless you are a totally incompetent bonehead, its probably because you have shit form that you never corrected because "hurr durr only fags make recordings to check their form".

Your high and mighty attitude is cute, but youre still a retard if you think you should never make any kind of records of your lifts to refer back to later.

For the short term, I would eat more, deload 10% on squat and really make sure you are nailing the form to fix your huge imbalance.

Look into Smolov.

I'm not even the guy, but nobody asked for advice really. Maybe he just doesn't care about squats? I hate them too, no big deal. Stop thinking you know what everybody wants.
>>
>>35498237
I don't lift at a gym but I work out every day for about 2 hours (bouldering, pushups, pullups, training for marathon - sometimes marathon runs are way longer than 2 hours tho)
>>
2 hous a week since university started
I look the same and lift same numbers as when I used to lift 5 hours a week. apparently it doesn't matter if I do 15 sets total of 3 exercises or 6 sets total of 2 exercises and if I work chest and back seperately or not etc
>>
Bout 70 minutes alone
2 hours with a partner
3 hours if double session with partner

Depends on the day and whether or bot i have someone to lift with

Actually, no. I don't think recording things is retarded, I just don't think I need to do it because I have good form. I honestly don't lift heavy because fuck squats. I don't really like doing them like >>35500135 pointed out, so I'm not going to bother pushing myself to failure with it when I can focus that energy towards exercises I actually give a shit about.

>For the short term, I would eat more, deload 10% on squat and really make sure you are nailing the form to fix your huge imbalance.
Don't really need your advice since I'm pretty good where I am. I'm definitely not going to eat more since I'm on a cut to prepare for summer (which is why my bench max has been suffering...caloric deficit and all). That's probably why you shouldn't just spout out random advice to someone who's goals you know nothing about. And ESPECIALLY if that other person (me) doesn't care about getting advice in the first place.

>Look into Smolov.
Yea, no I won't.
