Hey /fit/ I've got a simple question. Yes, I read the sticky and this is probably a stupid question, but if I get rid of obviously sugary things (soda candy), and things high in carbs (bread soda) and I bench for half and hour and do pullups and situps for the other half every other day, will I lose wight efficiently?

Obviously you didn't read the fucking sticky.
Try again.

>>
>bench for half an hour
I am imagining you putting 5 lbs on each side and just going to town for 30 straight fucking minutes

I'd pay to see this

>count calories
>eat clean
>SS or SL
>dedication and persistence

There is an entire section about weight loss

I know what SS is but what is SL? I read the sticky a while back but I don't recall. Just ctrl+f in there for SL and got nothing.

Strong Lifts 5x5

Super similar program, doesn't matter which one you do, but some feel it has a better iPhone app.

Oh cool, I was just on their website for the first time looking at how to do a proper deadlift. Thanks anon.
>>
>bench for half an hour

wat?

The point is to stimulate growth in the muscle, not to do endurance training. Bench only as long as it takes to stimulate growth, then stop benching. This could be one set if you are a skilled advanced lifter or 2 or 3 sets for a novice who can't train with intensity. Half an hour is an entire workout.
