I had a bizarre realization today that I wanted to share with everyone. I've been lifting heavy, have managed to stick to a routine for about a year now and my body is pretty fucking on point. In the course of this time I've somehow managed to find myself into slightly cooler groups of people.
>these people treat social interactions like a fucking job
They spend a ridiculous amount of time dressing right, having the right way of talking, they make a point to never take anything seriously, they make sure to flow with all conversations, they don't do anything even remotely geeky, they are just... cool
And the inverse of this has made me realize how fucking nerdy I am, and how out of sync with normal people I am in general. All of this is due to lifting thankfully, but all this social bullshit is infinitely harder than I could have ever imagined.
Anyone else having these issues.

Sounds like you are hanging out with a bunch of tools anon. You dont have to be a pretentious douche for not being a social outcast and be successful with girls.

A lot of it is just about becoming older.
When we were young we were shoved into desks, bleachers, and cramped spaces with people we loved and hated. Our lives didn't have direction yet but we knew we were working toward something. We were on a path filled with suffering and we needed one another, we forged friendships to get by.
Now that we're older and can choose our direction, we often suffer alone instead of with others. We fabricate situations to interact but it all feels artificial. We do it because we're human and we need to connect with one another.
But with almost everyone, it's a lot safer to not become vulnerable, and never truly connect with anyone at all.

Those people sound insufferable. I know many like them: they are not into anything but socialising. Their life revolves around it. Let me guess, they all have generic 9 to 5 jobs? Those people are not "cool", Anon - they are boring.

Thank god I have the same friends since my childhood.

But the people you just described aren't "normal" people at all. You might be out of sync with normal people, but mainly because you think those chucklefucks are "normal".

as a closet normie I cna assure you we do not live this way. It may seem like that in certain situations, and I definitely act differently when trying to seduce women, but in most soical situations I am just easy going. Keep at it you'll get the hang of social interaction, good to see a shut in learning the ropes in the real world.
