Quick question /fit/, is SS good for a beginner who wants aesthetics more than functional strength ?
>>35460432
Yes. It won't make you aesthetic but it will teach you how to use your muscles corectly so that you get get on a hypertrophy program afterwards.
If you've never lifted before, your body doesn't know how to activate all of your muscles. This is why you will see "CNS gains" mentioned in fitness articles. Central Nervous System controls how your muscles fire, and the best way to activate it maximally is to lift heavy, which is what SS is for.
Absolutely not

Don't forget youre on /fit/. 95% of the people here are as ignorant as you or worse. They MIGHT read the sticky and then they think they know everything. More realistically, they spent 5 minutes in a QTDDTOT thread circlejerking with other dyels that don't know anything, collectively reaffirming their status as professional lifters.
Do not take anything you read here for face value. You have 2 options:
1. Try something out, see what happens
2. Read a lot (legit sources, not forums), choose something which seems to make sense, return to #1

It doesn't matter. You are expecting to look aesthetic in six months, but despite what muscle magazines may tell you, that will NOT happen.
Just do SS, it's fine.

Follow SS straight to the letter, and makes sure you have at least 7000 calories a day as stated by mark

this guy did SS and in 3 months he gained 70 lbs of pure muscle.
>hurr SS makes u a t-rex
that's a 2015 meme, SS gives you boulder shoulders and big arms from squatting and deadlifting.
>>35460432
short answer: no.
>>35460432
No, you will get huge legs (which is the natural response of legs when getting stronger) and then proceed to make cancerous "SS is a meme" threads.
Best would be to fuck off to misc/ r/fitness and never come back.
squats and deadlifts are good but not magic exercises that will make you look like a bodybuilder. Only thing that will make you look like a bodybuilder is steroids.
What you will get when you squat and deadlift heavy is a messed up back and knee when you get older. Please dont take advise from bros...take advise from..a..DOC..KTORs who say the same thing.

You mean old fatass doctors who never lifted a weight in their life or this doctor who casually lifts 4pl8?

yes, and don't let all of the DYELS tell you otherwise
