New Years fag here, and I really want you to tear me apart, /fit/...
I'm going to post this workout that I conjured up in my hungry skeleton brain, and you're going to tell me why it's shit
I mean, assuming it is shit, I don't know because I'm just starting and looking for some brutal advice from the lords of /fit/ness
I'm planning on this... working out AxBxAxB where the x's are rest days (that's probably already retarded but like I said, I'm new)
Workout A (chest / arms)
DB bench press 3x10
DB overhead extension 3x10
DB alternating curls 3x10
DB flyes 3x10
DB lateral raise 3x10
Workout B (back/shoulders/legs)
BB rows 3x10
Deadlift 3x10
Squat 3x10
Seated overhead press 3x10
Pull up 3xF
I'm going for high reps low weight because I want to be ottermode
Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated /fit/ ... even if it's not constructive
At least I'm trying... right??

Read the sticky lad.
>At least I'm trying
You're on the right path.
>>35452433
>deadlift and squat in the same damn day
>>35452433
Just do one of the proven routines
mirin that total 10 exercices for the whole week
also
"I want to be ottermode"
aka
"I don't want to get TOO muscular" :^)
>>35452450
That's not hard when you're lifting baby weight at the start.
>>35452447
OP here, I did read the sticky ... but Starting Strength seems to focus a lot on legs and I'd really like to see some gains in my arms / chest
>>35452450
Bad idea? Maybe switch DL or Squat into workout A?
>>35452456
pls send help but you're right I should probably just copy someone who knows wtf they're doing
>>35452462
thank you brah I will add additional exercises, and I do want to be as large as possible... but I think I need more strength before I push for size
Read the sticky, read the sticky, Read the sticky, read the sticky, Read the sticky, read the sticky, Read the sticky, read the sticky, Read the sticky, read the sticky, Read the sticky, read the sticky, Read the sticky, read the sticky, Read the sticky, read the sticky, Read the sticky, read the sticky,
You aren't some kind of special exception, did you miss the all caps letters that say to read the sticky before starting a topic about this shit?
>>35452813
I did read the sticky!
bumping for more advice from /fit/izens
>>35452507
if you think theres not enough arms or chest then just do some chest or arms at the end of your workout.
>>35452507
family, just do SS with some light to moderate upper body accesories at the end of your workout.
(curls,pushdown,flies,etc.)
>>35453451
>>35453492
Hmmm accessories... interesting. If I do SS, can I do it with low weight, high reps or does it have to be 5x5?
>>35453533
nah just do the standard 3x8-12 with light to moderate weight. get a nice pump in and that's it, you don't want these accessories to interfere with your strength progression.
>>35453533
stick to 3x5 to build strength on the compounds then do higher reps on your accessories for hypertrophy
>>35453231
Then you would know to do ANY of the recommended beginner programs, use program picker it will give it to you on a silver platter.

It's deep in the fucking sticky (which you didn't read all of it, or else you wouldn't be making threads like this one)
