Tbh she's a role model in a way for the girls that see the movie. Having role models like this is why girls would rather starve themselves vs getting fit in a gym. If we had more role models like biel girls would be primed (unconsciously and consciously) to get fit and healtheir by proxy. It pisses me off how many women think that they can either be fat or skinny, that there are no other options.
