This is better, especially for powerlifting
>>
>>35434575

Yeah.

>>35434626

This is pretty much SS+accessories with more deadlift and bench frequency, though.

It's not a powerlifting program so you are wrong
>>
>>35434660
It has more flaws and complications than SS + accessories. This is easier to fuck up than SS. Beginner can't handle programs like these, they just don't know when workout feels very hard or easy because they haven't been lifting enough. Its impossible for them to even go for a AMRAP because they don't know how to push themselves or how to maintain a good form, because they haven't been lifting enough to notice those small things. They will just reinforce bad form, and in the worst case cause injury.

I think someting like this could be ok for intermediate, if you modify this a bit.
>>
>>35434575
Literally no where in practical programming does it reccomend sets of 2, it says sets of 3-5 is most efficient.
>>
No, it's horrible for powerlifting

Powerlifting is a sport where you display your strength in 3 lifts - the back squat, the bench press and the deadlift. This means your training should revolve around these 3 lifts with assistance coming from close variations such as the front squat, pause squat, pause bench, etc.

The program you have here is a bastardisation of SS and Greyskull. If you want to get into powerlifting there is a program called Powerlifting To Win that is free at the website. Currently it is the best program to get into powerlifting.
>>
>>35434801
Izzys powerlifting to win novice program
West side for beginners
Starting strength (technically not powerlifting but works well)
Juggernaut training for beginners

Or if you don't care about absolutely anything than sheiko
>>

Powerlifting To Win
>>
>>35434833
>Sheiko
You can actually hire the man to coach you.
>>
>say beginners don't know when a workout feels hard

>recommends the powerliftingtowin program
>>
>>35434833

All of those except PLtowin are shit for powerlifting. Including Sheiko.
>>
>>35434863
Have you read the free e-book? He explains it for literal idiots.
>>
>>35434801
Well if you want to compete in powerlifting the first thing you got to realize is that your focus should be on long-term progression. The first couple of months should focus on learning the lifts(with help from experienced people if you have the opportunity) and not on increasing weight. Of course the weight should go up, but not on expense of technique. The best case scenario would be getting a coach who could help you, but if you're not willing to spend the money, any program where you work mostly with submaximal weights and do a lot of sets.

>>35434872
>All of those except PLtowin are shit for powerlifting.
Why is PLtowin good for powerlifting? From what I remember from it it's just SS with added autism and numerical masturbation.

>Including Sheiko.
Sheiko is the only one on that list who has produced good powerlifters
>>
>>35434876

PHIR LP explains it for literal idiots and you don't have to judge anything by how you "feel", since it's all tied to the number of reps.

Izzy's program has a lot of "how you feel" stuff.

So basically you are just shitposting stuff you've read online without actually understanding anything.
>>
>>35434872
You're an idiot
I'd say RTS > EliteFTS>Sheiko>Westside>PLtowin
>>
>>35434903

Unless you are literally there training with Sheiko, you are wasting your time doing his novice programs.

>The first couple of months should focus on learning the lifts(with help from experienced people if you have the opportunity) and not on increasing weight

Stop posting.

Herp derp
>>
>>35434920
>intermediate programs
I meant their coaching desu
>>
>>35434905
I am not the one who is shitposting bud. This PHIR nonsense is not good for powerlifting - it has weird exercise selection (cleans? OHP?) and you are just better off doing Greyskull.

Go and read Izzy's book.

>>35434903
P2W is RTS simplified.
>>
>>35434928

OP isn't gonna get coached by any of those dudes, though.
>>
>>35434934
It's cheap, like $30 a month for RTS IIRC
>>
>>35434937
Isn't it better to start off with local coaches? Like, they will be able to monitor your technique in person and stuff?
>>
>>35434920
>The first couple of months should focus on not learning the lifts, masturbate your way to 3pl8 squat as fast as possible(because that's what's important, how fast you can go from bad to bad), and then stall until you get injured
Stop posting. Literally any sport coach will have you focus on building a god base instead of just focusing on one quality in the beginning.
>>
Fuck OP just stop with your shit program, really you have no clue how programing works.
>>
>>35434937
Never mind it's $99

I canT remember which one was $30/mo, it seemed like a good deal

>>35434948
Sure, but good coaches aren't in abundance.
These online coaches do give you form advice and skype calls and shit.
>>
>>35434966
I know they are good - you are hiring Liliebridge and Mikie T. Even speaking with them on the subject will yield results. I was just asking when starting out.
>>
OP here, thanks for the replies but I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on online coaching.

I'll do PHIR LP, and then do candito LP once I get stronger I think. (I've done around two months of SS)
>>
>>35434988
I'm not sure, I wouldn't trust a coach who hasn't trained many successful lifters.

Becoming an intermediate lifter isn't hard, do SS as described in the book for 6 months and if you don't fuck around I guarantee you'll be an intermediate lifter by then and can specialise.

You don't need a coach to run SS, you don't need a coach to learn power cleans. (Do your power cleans seriously)

Just read and learn to find faults in your form by recording each session.

Here's some great powerlifting books for free
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P-_gNDvxcr6iiXSXvW0AHkN5-xpulB1oAU-V8IXzXUY/htmlview

Click on dropbox mirror and then strength training or strength programs or something like that.
>>
>>35434964
>He thinks he can climb his way to a good bench by doing 4,5 sets per week
Linear progression(the type used in SS and similiar programs) should be used for a month top. For a good long-term progression you need work capacity and good technique. If you're only willing to do 9 sets of squats per week you will miss out on deveoping any capability on being able to handle more training volume.
>>
>>35435042

Stop giving shitty advice.
>>
>>35435015
I meant after getting to intermediate - when trying to break into decent lifting.
>>
>>35435062
Y-you too. Have you ever read anything on sports training or powerlifting training specifically that doesn't come from american internet lifters?
>>
>>35435086
An online coach is fine as an intermediate and better than no coach or a bad coach in person.
>>
>>35435042
>If you're only willing to do 9 sets of squats per week you will miss out on deveoping any capability on being able to handle more training volume.
So you're recommending far more than 9 heavy sets of squats per week as the only option?
You clearly don't lift, buddy.
>>
>>35435090
You sound like you are either from Eastern Europe or Scandinavia. Can you lay down your lifting philosophy - I am really interested.
