What cheap, protein-filled, half-decent tasting foods yall niggas eating? pic unrelated
>>
>>35430394
Just bought a ten pound bag of tilapia. Pretty cheap around here, 24g protein, basically the fish equivalent to tofu in terms of taste. Works bretty gud.
>>
Your moms pussy
>>
>>35430394
Low fat curd cheese.

You have to give up the taste part though.

You really should give up the taste part at some point. This is literally 60 g of protein for <1 USD.
>>
>>35430411

tilapia is the absolute G.O.A.T. fish 2bh

doesnt even taste bad .. just a little bit of lemon and its fucking godlike

only thing i hate about it is preparation because its usually solid frozen here and id have to take it out 1 day before ...
>>
>>35430414
This sounds legit, got an example?
>>
>>35430394
Pretty much any fish, but mostly shrimp
>>
>>35430394
Cottage cheese senpai. Mix it with honey and oats
>>
>>35430431
The example is fucking curd cheese with low fat. What do you want? You buy it, then you eat it.
>>
>>35430460
Chill senpai, just never seen that shit around here. Google isn't telling me anything that the name doesn't already, wanted a decent brand to go on.
>>
>>35430473
It's all the same really. Buy the cheapest you can find, it won't taste good either way.
>>
>>35430473
He is talking about cottage cheese. Seriously best protein for the price.
I also use a lot of greek yogurt. Mix some flavored protein powder in it and enjoy the gains
>>
>>35430394
Potted meat, if in a dire pinch.
>>
>>35430394
pork rinds/chicarrones

dirt cheap and almost 100% protein
>>
Pls inform me

What's the harm in just taking 2 scoops of protein powder twice a day? That equates to 160% recommended daily
>>
>>35430877
Nothing, I wouldn't take any more than that though. Not only would it be a waste taking to much protein can harm the liver. If you're cutting I'd split that into 3-4 one scoop doses and take a very small meal with one after workouts.
>>
>>35431143
Samefag

If you're trying to gain, carbs, time in the gym(its real but for most people, don't even worry about "overtraining" is the advice I give), and frequent meals is most important.
>>
>>35430394
any tinned fish

salmon tastes best but costs the most
tuna tastes alright and doesnt cost much
sardines are pretty rank but cost fuck all

just depends on how im doing with money that week. i just mix them into some brown rice with some chilli or something
>>
>>35430427
Nigga wrap that bitch in foil and a lemon stick it in the oven. Auto defrost
>>
Parmesean cheese, most protein per slice
>>
>>35430411
>>35430427
Tilapia is absolute shit. Virtually no omega 3's, sky high in harmful omega 6 fats, raised on a diet of soy and shit (literally), among other negatives.

Literally the worst fish in every way. To say it is the GOAT is mind boggling.

if for bulkin indulge yourself in the amazing world of MOZZARELLA

for 100g
302 kcal
Fat 20.03g
Carbs 3.83g
Protein 25.96g

It's also dirt cheap
>I've seen many things in my life, but a man eating mozzarella from his hand like an apple.. that's something new
>>
>>35431313

autism

its good for its price and still better than pork and whatever shit meat there is in terms of omega3,omega6 and dont get me started on what meat gets fed on to become cheap
>>
>>35431331

i love mozzarella too

>but a man eating mozzarella from his hand like an apple.. that's something new

i do that when i still have some left from preparing caprese
>>
>>35431313
omega 6 arent harmful you potato
>>
>>35430432
But cholesterol....
>>
>>35431331
bullshit it has 25g of protein, take a picture of the label, google says 8g
>>
>>35431296
>>35431331
I love cheese.

Coworkers never seen anything like a guy eating a half pound of mozzarella like a candy bar.
>>
>>35431331
Eat that shit together with some chicken breast, tomato and basilic lad, gainsgiving meal right there
>>
>>35431313
Works well for price, man. Which, in the middle of a fucking desert, is pretty damn alright for fish. Can only handle so much fucking steak and chicken.

Not to say I don't eat some others for general nutrition, but the little fuckers are easy to make, readily available protein packets that work on an already ill-planned cut.
>>
>>35430411
Tilapia is GOAT.
It's pretty expensive where I live though.

Tuna patties like pic related are pretty good.
Tofu is also great, but it can be a pain to cook and prepare until you get used to it.

Mix half flavored greek yogurt with half unflavored, and add in some flax and/or chia seeds. Or unflavored with some whey, but I'm not a fan of sweet flavors with my yogurt.

Fairlife milk, krogers "carbmaster" milk and other milks like them are pretty good, they're usually something like 12g protons for 80cal.

Skim cottage cheese is a favorite of some people, just not my thing.
>>
>>35431368
Damn you're stupid
>>
>>35431356
In high amounts they can be bad for heart health.

But who cares?
>>
>>35431333
>tilapia is better than pork
Only if youre a mudslime or a completely destitute poorfag eating garbage

>>35431390
>i-it's good for the price
The person I responded to called it the GOAT fish. Saying it's good because it's cheap or because it isnt pork doesnt make it the GOAT fish. Tuna and salmon are infinitely better in every way.

an unbalanced omega 3 to o6 ratio can fuck you up mate
>"Excessive amounts of omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and a very high omega-6/omega-3 ratio, as is found in today's Western diets, promote the pathogenesis of many diseases, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, whereas increased levels of omega-3 PUFA (a low omega-6/omega-3 ratio) exert suppressive effects. "
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12442909

They pump omega 6 in foods in the western world, it's useful for some industrial purpose.

OP was looking for cheap source of protein you raging faggot.

This is going to sound disgusting, but hold in there.

Heat a pan, fry three whipped eggs into an omelette, should be about the size of a plate.

Don't add salt or pepper or anything, but when you finish cooking, smear peanut butter onto one whole side of the flat egg-pancake, then sprinkle shake powder on it and chopped almonds. Easily around 70g of protein, and you get a pretty good sweet taste.
Egg doesn't have much flavor, but the peanut butter and the shake flavor is pretty good, and the almonds add a crunch.
>>
>>35430394
Cottage cheese, turkey, black beans, pasta, peanuts, tuna, eggs, swiss/parmesan cheese, milk, sardines and
tofu
>>
>>35431519
Doesnt matter, guy I responded to didnt say tilapia was the GOAT cheap fish, he said it was the GOAT fish

Learn to read faggot, words matter
>>
>>35431331
>>35431387
Can confirm, it's a solid meal. Sometimes I sub out chicken with tofu/broccoli (<-halts estrogen absorbption) with curry.
>>
>>35430411
Swai is an alternative. I usually just buy whatever fish is on sale since it tastes better than chicken.
>>
>>35431143
cheers bud, I generally have 2 scoops on gym days so I should be safe

>>35431162
Why the fuck would I samefag that you chronic disease
>>
What does cottage cheese taste like?
I like Greek yogurt and milk but have never tried cottage cheese.
Does it taste like anything else?
>>
>>35431331
>It's also dirt cheap
You can even make your own mozzarella pretty easily. All you need is fresh milk, citric acid and a Rennet tablet (you can also get it in liquid form).
>you also get whey as a bi-product of making it
>>
Eggs, tofu, pork
>>
>>35432076
Like cheese, but more cottagey.

In Poland we have cheese called "Ceko Piorko", the price is same as other yellow cheeses (if you buy it in proper market), it also tastes very similar (not like cardboard which is very common for cheeses low in fat) and for 100g it has 35,4g of proteins, 3,5g of carbs and 3g of fat. Comparing to mozarella it's also way cheaper.
>literally eating 35grams of protein every breakfast for 2,20 zloty (~ 0,60 dollar)
>beat it
>>
>>35434070
How processed is that cheese?
>>
>>35434722
obv pretty damn processed
>>
>>35434070
sounds almost too good to be true
>>
>>35434756
It is possible to make a cheese like this without messing too much with the raw materials, I just wondered if this was the case (polish tradition or something) of if it is just another creepy foodstuff :/
>>
>>35431503
eastern european fag confirmed
>>
>>35434756
>>35434784
Tried my best to translate ingredients: pasterized milk, milk whey, milk bacterias, salt, calcium chloride, rennet, annatto.
So i wouldn't say it's "damn processed".
>>
>>35434867
Makes sense. They add a lot of milk proteins back into the cheese after making the base. Good for protein lovers :)
>>
>literally cannot find Greek Yoghurt in Aus
>it's all "greek style", filled with carbs, low protein content
it makes me legitimately furious.
>>
>>35434936
Time to start making your own youghurts senpai. It's easy, and cheap since you only need milk and a starter.
>>
>>35434936
With as many Greeks as there are in Australia, I find it hard to believe that you can't find Greek yogurt. If you are in Melbourne, I guarantee you can find a shop that sells full fat, authentic Greek yogurt by the quart. Probably relatively cheap, too.

Unles "Aus" means Austria. In which case, I retract my previous statement.
