Do you prep meals?

If yes, what do you usually cook?

Chicken and broccoli is getting stale, I'm looking for alternatives.
>>
Fuck broccoli man seriously fuck that vegetable fucking disgusting fucking shit.

Just roast a fuck tonne of different veg in the oven, rice and meat.
>>
>>35403599

I love broccoli, but like everything else, it gets stale after eating the same shit for months.

ground/cubed meat + tomatoes + ground chilis (chili powder is ifne) = chili

add beans for a bean stew known as "chili" in the north. it's commonly served over rice by idiots.
>>
>>35403576
I do most of my meal preps on Sunday, which includes the followings:
pulled pork
fish pie ( i prepare enough for a few batches and freeze them)
roast chicken
Blanch a large batch of veg (prefer doing my own than buying frozen veg)
prepare falafel burger patties and freeze them

once the meats are cooked, I aliquot them to be used throughout the week. i will usually have the meat with the blanched veg, or with canned beans, or I will use them for a curry which I normally prepare on the day (usually includes coconut milk in the sauce).

occasionally i will have a red lentil and quinoa base with some meat, or with the blanched veg, and always with greek yogurt.

i have fish once a week and i just put the frozen fish pie in the oven to warm up, and have a leafy green salad with it

i also have two meat free days. often i have falafel burgers which i prepare on the sundays, or freshly prepare on the day black eyed beans, and have them with olive oil, fresh lemon, spinach and a red onion

I just make a big pot of pasta and throw chicken, broccoli and a tomato sauce into it along with a full tub of cream cheese. I drink about 1/3 gallon of milk with that meal.

Other dishes I cook are potato, lentil and turkey curry and some other shit which invloves peanut butter, eggs and tuna.

I don't count calories that much...I'm trying to get as much as possible in.

I'm a 6'8" lanklet who is trying to bulk. I finished my pasta and now I've got my tub of Hgen Das to get through.

You have no idea of my suffering.

>>
>>35404414

Quorn is like chicken but not really. It's pretty expensive here, but I eat it like once or twice a week.
>>
>>35403576
Lentils and beans are good if you're on a budget. Throw them in a pot with some vegetables and stew meat and you're golden.
>>
>>35404432
Tofu?
>>
>>35404458
Should have mentioned, I make a huge pot at the beginning of the week and freeze most of it, taking it out as I eat it.
>>
>>35404529

Tofu is nice too.
>>
>>35404358
beans, quinoa and lentils are very filling
if you want something extra to the dish, just add tofu or tempeh. they can absorb a lot of the flavours if you prepare the dishes correctly so they dont taste bland. i made a yellow spicy curry with sweet potatoes, butternut squash and chickpea (if you really hate chickpeas, just replace with something else) with tofu and it tasted as complete as it would if i used chicken

also, consider making soups on your meat free days. just bought a nutribullet and i really love making pumpkin soup with it. ideally, i like to roast the pumpkin before boiling but if you're strapped for tine, just boil pumpkin cubes and when they are soft enough, let them cool down and put them in the nutribullet without any water. creates a very thick soup. can add some grated cheese on top for extra flavour, but i normally just grind some fresh peppercorns.

this also works well with butternut squash or sweet potatoes.

I made shredded chicken.
>Put shitloads of chicken in a huge oven-proof dish
>Rub to taste (Brotip: Cumin, cayenne pepper, chili powder, fucklotta garlic, some salt and pepper)
>Add 1 liter of beer for every 5 chicken breasts
>Optional: Add a bit of butter
>Cover dish with aluminium foil
>Leave in oven at 175°C for 3-4 hours
While you're waiting for this, cook up some beans the way you like them. I like them as they are, and make a barbecue sauce.
Cook some rice, wait for the chicken to finish, shred the chicken, weigh up ingredients and portion them out, re-heat meals when hungry and drench in barbecue sauce.
The chicken will keep some of the beer flavour, which goes really well with a smoky BBQ sauce. If you do make a sauce, just bottle it up and take it with you where you eat your prepped meals, since it'll make the food into a soggy mess if you leave it in there for a longer period
I regretfully don't have the maths on it anymore, but as I recall it made for a pretty good amount of protein, and a hella hearty lunch.

You are in part right, but keep in mind that both mackerel and sardines (And salmon, another /fit/ favourite) will contain some amount of mercury if they're caught in the same area as the tuna. They're all oily fish, so the contaminants (Say, mercury) will wind up in the flesh, unlike whitefish (cod, pollock, haddock...) where it'd be mainly concentrated in the liver.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with eating any of them. I've been eating mackerel, salmon, tuna and sardines pretty much every day in a year, and so far I haven't noticed anything. Just don't eat the fish that's caught near Fukushima or somewhere heavy metals are mined or dumped.
>>
>>35410599
>any fish will contain some amount of mercury
>reductio ad Fukushima
But, you're wrong, anon. Tuna is poisonous pretty fast, mackerel it's simply not poisonous (unless you get the king mackerel variety, but nobody fishes that afaik). Some fishes (and some varieties of the same fish) get enough mercury to be poisonous if you eat them daily, some have __irrelevant__ concentration of mercury.

>my anecdotal experience says: I haven't noticed anything
and now you'll tell me that someone's grandpa died at 95 even if he was smoking a pack a day, right

A varied diet could contribute to chelation of mercury and the like anyway: https://desustorage.org/fit/thread/34977172/#34989593

See I actually know how to cook and portion right so I eat turkey chile, spaghetti, bean and chicken stew, stir fry, pasta salad, omelettes, etc. I change it up every two weeks so I don't get bored with a particular meal. I do seven meals a day on bulking and two during cutting with two light snacks. I'm by no means an expert but I went from 105 pounds super skelly 5'6' to 160 pounds 5'7 (yes putting on weight actually made me taller because I have scoliosis, still a manlet though, not that I care but inb4)

I don't know why fat people do it either.
When I lived at home I had a small box filled with some spices and sauces I had made or bought for cooking stuff only I ate - Lot of it imported, since the selection of spices in the only store where I live is shit; Just white people spice, and I liked yellow people food and some brown people food.
Anyway, it's all in a small cookie jar, and they threw it the fuck out because "there's not enough room for it", like fucking bullshit you only look at the very spacious top shelf of the kitchen cabinet once a year, and you gotta stand on top of a chair to do it you fat hobbit fuck.
Never ever gonna live with fat fuck family members ever again.
