I may also have decided that, since this would be my last deadlifting session of the year, that I would do my bodyweight for my age in reps conventional. If I had any conditioning whatsoever that would not have been a problem.

Alright lads.

I've worn my Barbell apparel jeans for three days in a row now.

It's a strange feeling: they're light, and because of the spandex, feel cheaper than my old Nudies (R.I.P.) and A.P.C.s (R.I.P. in Piece), even cheaper than my Levi commuters.

The mobility though, is fucking nutty. I can only compare this to that time I wore a kilt. I will say too, that the cheap feel is probably because I'm not used to jeans with any sort of stretch factor. Zipper seems quality, and my lowbar ass fits into these bad boys beautifully.

Could probably do an entire squat workout with them on.

Will follow through with review of powerlift 2.0's tomorrow.
>>
>>35395643
>my lowbar ass fits into these bad boys beautifully.

Pictures please. For... science and stuff.

How much do those run? Jeans have been the bane of my clothes shopping experience. At least with slacks I can buy synthetic golf pants.

>i seriously can't wait to be finished with memeko

I'm not sure what i'm going to do. the weight cut is looking bleak (thanks christmas and my natural fat ass)

Option 1) go through with weight cut, do garbage at local meet, probably still take top 3 male lifter over all, qualify for 2016 nats in the 120 class

Option 2) push back current meet to a later meet somewhere else, make the cut a little easier and have a little more time to try and git gud

the real benefit of option 2is that i get time to fuck off and do things i want to do.
>front squats
>ohp
>lifting 5-7 days a week doing wtf ever I want to, gaining some sanity back etc

i haven't looked into what meet I would do if i put it off yet.. but option 2 sounds nice. When are 2016 nats? initial google is failing me (i must be retarded)

Steve Harris Well this looks like as good a place as any for me to break my silence. Everything you read is fact. I can back up every single thing I speak of with documented proof that is legally sound.
GPA Worlds was a massive failure, despite what the organisers would have you think. CAPO was left with $230,000+ worth of debt to creditors. Myself being the largest creditor who was owed $170,000+. CAPO was on the brink of extinction. A restructure was agreed to with the forming of the new CAPO that took on the good will of the previous. In effect Wayne Howlett owned the old CAPO and I owned the new.
It came to my attention that members of the committee, led by Karen Coliero had taken steps to try and circumvent the agreed corporate restructure and form their own federation. This led me to investigate further into CAPOs previous financial situation and it wasn’t pretty.
The most distressing thing I uncovered was that CAPO for up to 3 years had never lodged any tax return. No quarterly BAS statements, no income tax and no GST. It wasn’t even registered for GST. Not one receipt had ever been issued by CAPO. THIS IS TAX EVASION. All funds that had gone to CAPO for membership, entry fees and sponsorship was going directly into Karen Coleiro’s private bank accounts. You all have evidence of this, just look at the account name on any payment you made to CAPO, you will notice Karen’s name on all of them. THIS IS TAX FRAUD. These tax implications add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Criminal charges and jail time are a real possibility.
Where has all the money gone?? Not a cent came to me, the largest creditor owed money. Your guess is as good as mine. There is no financial records at all. No profit and loss, no Monthly income statements, nothing. Not a single piece of evidence to prove anything. Repeated Not even a bank statement has been provided. Karen was given a chance to provide this information and she did not or would not.
>>

ok. that makes more sense. I was about to get pretty upset that i started cutting weight during volume in sheiko and fucking myself harder than i needed to lol

>>35395941
I can run, but i CANNOT squat. if i sit around all day, it will take me at least 20-30 minutes of getting my hips greased up to work right for squats. and even then, i usually don't start looking half decent until i'm almost at my working weight any ways

It was JUST what I expected, this martial art is nothing but a glib facsimile.
If judo was all I had access to as a child in terms of sports I probably would become one of those crazy fanboys, but thankfully I had access to anime from very early on in my youth years that my
mental balance is very stable.
Seriously, if you have watched Akira, you'd realize just how sophisticated anime is and it blows away anything judo would have to offer.
A lot of people mention Ghost In The Shell, which has just enough of sexuality in the mix to draw in the western audience I suppose but I must say that Ghost In The Shell is not even in my top 10 anime, not
even close, that's just how deep the world of anime is.
Some anime is so disturbingly mature like Fractale that I wish it would challenge the system and submit it as a Drama category in the Oscars just to bitchslap the snotty Academy.
It's not just the level of maturity and sophistication anime has, it's also quite original, entertaining, and visually fantastic. I would regard anime as the highest form of cinema art-form.
But hey, me preaching about anime won't do you any good, you gotta go out and see it for yourself just how much you are missing.
The recent one I would recommend to check out is Sword Art Online which is light and easy to get into anime for the first time yet appreciate it as much, but if you want the heavy stuff right off the line
check out Guilty Crown in which the plot is so complex and twisted that you'll need extra oxygen pumped into your brain in order to comprehend everything, and if you want amazing visuals and a gripping
drama that also has awesome mecha battles Aldnoah.Zero is the shit.
Seriously, if you know anime like I do, judo looks like it's something for little kids.

>>
What do you think would be more valuable for my bench?

Mark rippetoes lying triceps extensions
JM Press
Elbows out extensions

I've always done LTE but it seems the last 2 may have better bench carry over.

What do you think lads? I train triceps twice a week so I could always do 2 of these.
>>
>>35399321

>>

I wouldn't say the information here is always bad, but even I give out bad advice unknowingly on occasion.

>>
>>35399329
That's a hamstring movement bro, I'm trying to train triceps.

Although you reminded me that I probably have fucked form for those
>>
>>35399321

They kind of fill different niches. JM presses are supplemental/heavy accessory lifts - you can really push the weight up and the reps down if you want to (within reason, there's not much point taking them for heavy singles). LTEs and tate presses lend themselves much more to being light pump work.

All can be valuable, but it depends on your training needs.
>>
>>35399344
Face pulls are where you use a rope on a cable machine and pull it to your face. Not really a hamstring movement
>>
>>35399356
I was kidding

>>35399353
I see, I appreciate the help but I'm still a little lost.
All I do LTE for currently is size because I have girly triceps and as well as that if my triceps get bigger so will my bench press.
However I just discovered JM Press and Elbow out extensions and they supposedly have a greater carry over for bench? If I did them for high volume I assume size gains would be fhe same with the added benefit of better bench carry over perhaps?

I don't really know
>>
>>35399373

They were and are staples of a lot of geared benchers. Do they have better carryover than LTEs? I don't know. Plenty of people have sworn by both, as well as a thousand other exercises. You'd have to find out for yourself.

If I had to prescribe them, I'd say do some moderately heavy JM presses on whichever tricep day has the least stressful workload and throw some high rep LTEs or tate presses on the more stressful day.
>>
>>35399394
Alright thanks for your help, I have one more dumb concern though: Eric Spoto seems or prefer JM press over LTES because he claims LTE cause shoulder pain.

So many people have told me they experience shoulder pain from LTE but Ive been soing them for a while and yet to experience any pain at all.
Maybe I'm doing them too light? Do you think the pain is anecdotal due to bad flexibility or pretty common?

That would sway what assistance I chose desu

Thanks for the help though, I appreciate it

I would imagine the pain is probably mobility related - bench specialists tend to have jacked up shoulders and its not super-rare for more balanced powerlifters to have either mobility or injury issues related to that joint. If you can do them without pain, there's likely no issue with continuing to do them.

Need some deadlift advice:

What is a better accessory if my sticking point is around mid-shin/just below the knee; paused deadlifts (Candito style), or rack pulls?

My concern is that rack pull starting position is around my sticking point so I won't be moving through it. Also the paused deadlift means my acceleration through the sticking point would be slower.

Pic related: It's my sticking point.

>>
>>35400894
My understanding was that conventional paused deadlifts are paused around my sticking point, whereas, Candito's approach is to pause them just off off the floor.

Like if I said Ben Rice style I wouldn't be implying that Ben Rice invented paused deadlifts...
>>
>>35400915

candito* i mean

>>35400917
the CORRECT way is to pause right as the weight leaves the floor, candito didnt invent this technique
>>
>>35400924
>candito didnt invent this technique
I didn't claim he did.
He is a well known advocate of that style and there are multiple versions of paused deadlifts so I was clarifying which one I meant.

Would you have had your autism fit if I said "paused deadlift (Ben Rice Style)"?
>>

Quit being so autistic then.

I literally said "Candito style" not "Candito's Paused Deadlift (TM)" or "The Candito Paused Deadlift".

I just meant to clarify which kind of paused deadlift I meant seeing as there are different STYLES.
