(Barbell) Bench Press hater reporting in!
Reason: I totally suck at this lift. Furthermore, the Overhead Press is the more global upper body push movement (in terms of recruiting more muscles). Additionally, I feel my Pecs better doing dumbbell bench presses or dips. Big disadvantage is that the Bench is essemtal for powerlifting.

Bench is great for size if you out up decent weight and have a volume day.
Try hitting 75% of your 1RM for a few sets of 8-10, in addition to whatever day you train for strength. You will see some size.

I hate it, because it's the hardest lift for me really. I have long arms and it's much more difficult for me to bench press. My shoulders are also pretty narrow, so the distance i have to cover is large. That's why I progress slowly. All my lifts are solid besides bench press, I'm thinking about buying fractional plates. My overhead press is 88 lbs, my bench press isn't even 1pl8 yet. My squat is almost 2pl8 and dealidft more than that. Fml. Any tips?
Also, I think there is a mental block I have about bench pressing, I don't do my maximum. We don't have power rack in the gym and I don't want to ask guys to spot this babyweight.

Occlusion with incline dumbell press is pretty fun. Helped fill out my chest (I thought I had gyno) and the pump gives me gnarly veins. Feels good breh
Got my bench press to just under 1pl8 for reps but took a semester long hiatus and lost 20lb on it. Thinking about switching to db inclines since zyzz claimed they were his favorite chest exercise and I have a pretty similar skelly physique as he did before he got big

I love the bench but suffered a shoulder/rotater cuff injury during football training and now when I try and bench I get a clicking noise in my shoulder so I'm limited to doing light bench for reps or dumbell press.
